Line was out weeks ago in a sportsbook out in Vegas that puts lines out for marquee games throughout the year.  It was Balt -3 when I saw it.

I'd guess Baltimore -1

Lol is Flacco gonna light us up? You guys should be more worried about Peyton dropping another 30+ points on you.

News flash.. Peyton Manning clearly has the Ravens # and this year it will be even worse because the Ravens cannot Blitz or cover WRs for shit.

Last year I actually felt bad for the Ravens by the end of the game.  Indy drubbed them 31-3 and it actually looked worse than the score. 

Baltimore's D is based in their pressure packages and blitzes, which Manning statistically torches. 

Even if Baltimore can run on them... and they did get yards last year, it won't matter.  If Baltimore were up 16 on Indy with 10 minutes left in the 4th, I'd still roll with Indy because they find a way to win and they've done it too many times to bet otherwise.

Everyone thought Indy would get whomped by Arizona after the Miami game, and apparently the bookies think everything will finally catch up to Indy....'it's gonna be different this time... trust me!'     

Between this game and great 'situational matchups' like a pissed off Pitt @ offensively challenged KC and Jets going to New England...  there's a chance for a P.O.Y. parlay to hook Vegas up with another vault eraser this week. 

I will never guarantee a victory, but I will say that I've been waiting for this matchup and the Denver matchup since the schedule came out... and I'm rolling with it for sure.

It's why they play the games dude.  It's the fucking NFL.  This is a terrible situational spot for the Colts.  Emotional/Motivational edge to the Ravens.  Colts so much more banged up.  Ngata will be back too which is gigantic for the Ravens D.

And, the Colts have not been as dominant as you think.

Beat Jax at home by 2
Beat Miami by 4
killed Zona (who can't win at home) and Seattle (who does nothing on road)
Beat Tennessee and Saint Louis with ease
Beat SF at home by 4
Beat Houston at home by 3
Miracle 1 point win against New England.

Teams are never as good or as bad as they appear in the NFL.

I really think you see the Ravens offense of last year (close to 45 rushing attempts).  Keep Manning off the field and wear down that defense which is very weak up the middle.  Then you can hit a couple of play action passes deep with Mason double moves against rookie corners.  If there is one thing that Mason still does phenomenally well, it is double move young corners who can't tell the difference between his out/in/9/postetc.

At New England by 6 (Clayton drop at the end was miserable)
At Minnesota by 2 (missed a 40 yarder to win it)
Home against Cincy by 3 (scored on last play of game after millions of defensive penalties)
Cincy took it to them in Cincy last week.

Four losses to three elite teams.  Been in every one and easily could be 3-1 in those and 8-1 overall.  These teams are closer than you think.  Add in motivation/homefield and the Vegas line will indicate this one will be competitive.

Indy is definitely the better team, but I think they go down here given the circumstances.

and the reason they are 5-4 instead of 8-1 is simply because they give up the big plays in their secondary to a QB who can throw the ball down the field

The yellow flags will be flying left and right as peyton airs it out against the ravens(talking about defensive pass interference obviously)

Not only this but the Ravens offense has been ABYSMAL in the past two games

as far as motivation the ravens should feel like shit for how pathetic their offense was against the worst defense in the NFL they converted maybe two 3rd downs ALL NIGHT.

Hey man I respect your knowledge of the teams and I definitely appreciate the perspective, especially if I'm planning a big play.

I guess a bottom line is that if there's one team who's proven time and time again that the stats and facts don't have to make sense, it's the Colts.  When it comes to the regular season, all they know how to do is win... so if I have the choice of a PK or the luxury of actually getting points... I've gotta take it based on principle alone. 

Agree/disagree?  Fire it up man.  We're all on the same team when it comes to betting.

wakko4flacco buddy calm down, they didnt want to unveil anything for the colts game..............im suprsied at your reaction considering your a raven fan, have you ever seen John Harbaugh play calls so conservative? this is the guy that throws the ball 45 yards down to his qb (last year vs kc) its all a part of the dance he has a gameplan for indy mark my words, fair play to indianapolis though theyve scraped there way to 9-0.

Ravens really need the game so much more than Colts, who have no interest in trying to go undefeated.  Colts are also off emotional victory over Pats, now going on road against decent team, pretty much have top spot in AFC locked up - time for letdown?  They haven't dominted many games, will lose one soon, why not here?  Ravens exerted very litte effort tuning up against Brownies last night, time for them to step up if they want posteseason.

yeah Hb option pass on 3rd and 2 wasnt revealing.

I am a raven fan, have been since they were born, but come on if this line is 1 or anywhere near 1 its Colts all the way.
I was thinking it would be Colts -8

Look at the ravens last 2 games. their O isnt clicking right now. some play calls are head scratching. Freeney and Mathis will have a field day on the Ravens O line.

Manning will light up the Ravens suspect... well not suspect, just bad secondary.

Look at the last few games VS the Colts and Ravens.
Not even close.

the only thing that MIGHT make this game close is weather. Everyone will be on the Colts and the cappers in here will say fade the public but not on this one. This one the Colts will roll.

Ravens win.

People over-analyzing the Colts offense and need to look at their defense and how they got shredded.

Pats lost that game, Colts didn't win it.
