    Sparky,

You said "Ponder didn't set a rookie Vikings record because he's a great QB"

    Your joking right?

I also love how you have no problem saying Ponder is a GREAT QB, but you can't even say that Tebow is good!!!

Matt- Sparky wasn't saying PONDER is good. He was saying you can't say he is a great Qb because he sets a single game record. Just like you can't say TEBOW is great because he rips off a winning streak.

I would be more then willing to say he is great if Denver were actually winning games and deserving them rather then these laughable wins. I fucking love it cause every week it seems there is a new way they are going to win. It's hilarious! NYJ-Final drive, KC 2 completions, OAK punt td and TO's, Minn Pick 6 and INT to set up winner, MIA miracle score and onside kick and 2pt td then fumble in OT to set up winning FG. This Kid no doubt has christ on his side cause these mother fucking games he wins are disgusting!!!!!!!

Please give me a game where Denver looked great from beginning to end and the O was clicking. Just hasn't happened so I laugh and laugh at all these ways they are winning. I have never seen this crap in my laugh and it's paying the bills right now!

You people are completly killing this wonderful thread.

Tim Tebow is on his way to being a great QB. He might make it, he might not (see Ryan Leaf)

I've watched every snap of every Broncos game the last 6 weeks and can tell Tim Tebow is DEFINITELY improving.

If he keeps getting better, which I think he will, the Tebow haters will disapeer. Nothing is certain, but Fade Tim Tebow at your own risk

Tebow will definitely improve. He has to! The guy will practice like none other and do everything he can to throw normal or like and average QB. I just think unless he improves drastically over time he will be average to lower class in the NFL. How long can you keep winning these ridiculously ugly games with this luck? Well I guess he has christ so it could be for quite a while.

    Sparky,

You keep using a ridiculous argument in that until Tebow beats a good team you will not say that he is a good QB.

But,  there are many quarterbacks who do not beat the teams that that are good, so do they suck like Tebow?

Also, there are good QB's that lose to bad teams. But, I do not here you saying that they suck. I bet though, if Tebow loses to a bad team, you will continue to say that he is terrible.

Let's look at a few good QB's that lost to bad teams and QB's that lose to teams that they are supposed to beat:

Teams that are bad that he is to beat.
Eli Manning - lost to Washington 28-14, lost to Seattle 36-25, lost to Philadelphia 17-10

Teams that are good that (if they are good QB's they will beat (from your ridiculous argument).

lost to the 49ers 27-20, Saints 49-24, GB 38-35. (The only team he beat that was good was the Patriots 24-20.)

Ben Roethlisberger - (Teams that he is to beat if he is good).
lost to the Ravens twice 35-7 & 23-20, lost to Houston 17-10.(The only team he beat that was good was the Patriots 25-17.)

Tony Romo - (Teams that he is to beat if he is a good QB).
lost to the Jets 27-24, lost to Detroit 34-30, lost to the Patriots 20-16. (The only team that he beat that was good was the 49ers 27-24).

Teams that he is supposed to beat that are bad teams.
lost to Philadelphia 34-7, lost to Arizona 19-13.

Tom Brady - (Teams that he is to beat if he is good QB.)
lost to Pittsburgh 25-17, lost to the Giants24-20

Teams that are bad that he is supposed to beat
    lost to Buffalo 34-31

    So, according to your argument..

These QB's SUCK, which is ridiculous. Yet, this is what you are saying about Tebow since he lost to Detroit and beat every single other team that he has faced.

And you say if he loses to ANY of the "good" teams that is left on his schedule, then "in your mind" he SUCKS, cause of this to...which again is ridiculous and an absurd argument that you are trying to hold to.

Ben Roethlisberger - (Teams that he is to beat if he is good).
lost to the Ravens twice 35-7 & 23-20, lost to Houston 17-10.(The only team he beat that was good was the Patriots 25-17.)

lost to the Jets 27-24, lost to Detroit 34-30, lost to the Patriots 20-16.

Back to your completely fucking ridiculous statements, the concept that Eli, yes Eli Manning is not a better QB at this point than Tebow - in terms of THROWING THE BALL - is laughable. Eli's won a SuperBowl. This is his best season, by far. Do you do things like, I don't know, check numbers when throwing out your bullshit? Or just like trolling with ridiculous statements to get a response?

I like Tebow. As a leader, he provides them a spark and it's working for them right now. At some point, defenses will adjust and he'll have to start throwing the ball more than 10 times a game. Let's see how he does then, instead of crowning him after 7 games in the NFL, ok there champ??

First off, if you're going to respond then respond accordingly. Eli this season vs Tebow is my argument. Let's break it down sport:

"the concept that Eli, yes Eli Manning is not a better QB at this point than Tebow - in terms of THROWING THE BALL - is laughable"

what about in terms of running the ball to a TD?
what about throwing the ball with no interception?
what about knowing your passing ability is not that good so avoid throwing wildly, hence avoiding turnovers?
    what about athleticism?
what about you win a fucking game?
you're such a rookie throwing out the obvious! Eli in the passing department is better than Tebow. Thank you Slick Rick, now we know!

    Next,

"Maybe if you could form one or two coherent sentences and stop putting cartoons in between every other word your argument would have a little more credibility"

maybe if you could learn to read between the lines and have a little common sense to realize that this is not your english 101 class. But since you attacked my writing skills then let me know where did you learn to construct sentences like this.
"Do you do things like, I don't know, check numbers when throwing out your bullshit?"
I can hear that from a 5 year old girl imitating jessica simpson.

"Eli's won a SuperBowl. This is his best season, by far"

now you are completely lost in Sparkys World. Doesn't he had his BEST season when he won the SuperBowl!?

Go do your Homework, see you next class.

Yeah I hate that argument. Tebow doesn't have to beat anyone good to prove he is good overall. Just beat teams in general and good on ya. But my gawd just watching him is fucking hilarious!! As a Qb it is like that quote from WAITING. "He is the smartest kid with down syndrome" He is like a winning Qb with down Syndrome. This guys wins fucking ugly and I mean God damn UGLY!!! No one can possibly say the O has played good or he has looked "great" in any game. If you are I throw out your comment quickly because it proves how stupid people are in here.

He is winning though and good for him and good for Denver for winning as a team. These wins though remind me of Greece winning the EURO or that Anaheim run to the cup-Get outshot 60-10 but win 1-0. Just UGLY!!!!

    better runer? tebow
    better passer? tebow(no interception)
better judgement call? tebow(knows that a turnover is very critical, and it makes any QB look bad)
    better decision making? tebow
    better overall? tebow
sorry pal, not only you're a hater you're also a homer.

First off...judgement call and decision making are the same thing. Nice way for you to seperate to make it seem like you know what you're talking about when, in reality, you make yourself look foolish. Yet I'm the one grabbing staws?

There's a difference between better passer and judgement call. Better judgement call/decision maker is what makes Tebow not throw interception. Doesn't make him the better passer.

And how can you POSSIBLY compare the 2? Tebow has 158 attempts in his 7 starts. Eli has 162 in his last 4 games. Of course Eli is going to throw more interceptions. It's common sense. Aaron Rodgers has more 3 interceptions in his last 7 games as opposed to Tebow's 1. Is Tebow better than Rodgers? Is Tebow better than Brady who has 5 INTs in his last 7?

So in 6 games, you lead five 4th quarter comebacks and two of those games his defense gave up 24 points or more.

    Where is the luck at?

Yes you have been. I was the one who said that, not this Degenerate guy.

I am a realistic person and am not blinded by how good Tebow has been.

To say Tim Tebow is better than Eli Manning is rediculous at this point in his career, but the NFL is changing and Newton and Tebow are leading that train.

If Tebow continues to throw the ball like he did yesterday, I truly believe he will be better than Eli Manning when it is all said and done. As of right now Eli has a superbowl ring and the experience ahead of Tebow.

However, if my team is down 30-24 with 3 minutes left in the game I would honestly say I would take Tebow ahead of Eli Manning to lead that 4th quarter comeback, but as of RIGHT NOW Eli is clearly the better OVERALL QB

The QB is typically the leader on offense and is considered the General on the field, his job is to put his team in a position to win games. Although he is not the most accurate passer nor does he have the strongest arm, Tebow has some intangibles many other QB's dont, take a look at many of the QB's in this leagues body language when walking off the field or sitting on the sideline (Jay Cutler sitting all alone during Bears games), then look at Tebow, the guy has passion about football and you better believe it spills over to many of his teammates.

It is also important a QB does not do things to put his team in a bad position (turnovers), so far Tebow does an excellent job of , in comparison lets look at Phillip Rivers who obviously has a better arm then Tebow, his interceptions this year have killed the Chargers in many games, giving them no chance to win the game at the end.

It is not fair to say, "well once he gets knocked out of the playoffs it will prove my point he is not a good QB", if that is the case then there will be 31 QB's at the end of the year who must not be that good or deserve to be a QB in the NFL.

As long as Sparky bases his thinking that  the most important factor of being a good QB is a powerful and accurate arm then he will never be a Tim Tebow guy, and those of us who believe there are many intangibles to take into consideration will look at Tebow as a guy we would be willing to have as a QB on our team.  The Broncos will lose games, its inevitable, and the Tebow haters will be out in full force, lets give the guy a few years in the league before determining what type of QB he will be, for gods sake Trent Dilfer was one of the most inept passing QB's I have ever seen and the guy lead his team to a Super Bowl victory.

I was just told that Tim Tebow is a better PASSER than Eli Manning because Tebow has less interceptions.

I'm making the case that he's not as great as everyone is making him out to be. Yes he has heart. Yes he can run and do things other QBs can't do. But there are things he can't do that most QBs CAN do as well.

If people are going to argue with me that Tebow is such a great QB and "all he does is win"...than I challenge him to beat better teams than he has faced. I'm challenging him to win playoff games like other great QBs.

If we're going to compare quarterbacks...lets flip flop the schedules of Tebow and Eli and see who has what record. But we can't do that can we?

Tebow has won. He has started in 7 games and has won 6 of those starts. But how long is this charade going to go on for? As compared to earlier. Orton was 6-0 in his first 6 starts for Denver. Look what happened to him. Everyone is embracing a flawed player for good results in a SMALL sample size.

My arguement is that he won't be a good long-term quarterback and won't be able to sustain his winning ways. And I'll take all the heat anyone wants to throw at me right now because I know how the future for him will unfold. Sure...I may look like a fool now because he's winning. And I'm ok with that.

    That isn't the arguement.

The arguement here is that everyone is calling Tebow great ONLY because he's winning and has heart. People's initial responses were that Tebow is winning so who cares about his stats.

Well what's going to happen when his stats are the same and he's losing. Is his still great?

The way Tebow plays is only good if he wins. If he loses...people will call for his head and call for someone who can be consistant.

Dude if ANY QB starts losing games Fans will be calling for his head.

Some of your argument is valid but some is like I said numerous times "grasping at straws."

I also love how you have no problem saying Ponder is a GREAT QB, but you can't even say that Tebow is good!!!

    You read that wrong.

I'm not saying that he's a great qb. I said he didn't put up those numbers because he's a great quarterback. He put up those numbers because one, Von Miller wasn't there to pressure him. And two...Percy Harvin did incredible things.
