    Sparky,

You said "If he gets the Steelers, Ravens, Patriots or Texans in the first round...he doesn't have a chance.

The teams that you CONVENIENTLY mention that he has to beat in order to be a good QB have a combined record of
    35-12!

The majority of teams in the NFL lost to these teams, so if Tebow does lose to any of them, it proves nothing!

Then you went on to say "If people are raving about how good he is...he should be able to beat good teams."

The teams that he did beat this year have a combined record of 27-32.

Two of these teams that you say aren't good teams, include the Jets who are 7-5 and Oakland who are 7-5.

I take neither one of these teams are good teams?

Even though they are both currently on pace to be in the playoffs?

why didnt you make this thread at ctg?

if they are "respectful" and you didnt make it over there, would that mean you were being disrespectful by starting a thread such as this.

I see what you're saying...but lets be real. Oakland has only one good win this season (against Houston) and the Jets only have one as well (against Dallas). They may have winning records but both teams are doing what the Broncos have done with Tebow. Beaten average to below average teams.

My point is that if people are going to continue to say how awesome Tebow is and how all he does is win...lets see him win against playoff calibur teams. If he can't do that...he won't go far in the playoffs. He'll be one and done. And all the love this guy is getting and all the hype he is getting...you'd think he's actually playing as well as any top QB in the league meaning he can beat them.

And if the season finishes the way it looks...the Broncos will host the Steelers, Ravens or Cincy. I don't see him being able to beat any of them. But then there is Tennessee, New York and Oakland who he may also face. All could be a toss up.

With the exception of Oakland, of course.

Also Tebow won 5 of his games on the road, which is tough to do in this league!

    Sparky,

The thing that you are totally missing throughout this thread is that..

There are only 15 teams out of the 32 in the league with a record that is above 500!!!

And you are saying that the Jets and Oakland (which are above 500), are mediocre and below average.

So, since you are throwing those 2 teams out and counting them as mediocre that Tebow has beat; this now only leaves 13 of the 32 teams left in the NFL with records above 500!!!

So in a league that consists of mainly mediocre teams...Tim Tebow has beaten them.

But then you bring back the conversation of...Tebow isn't doing all of this on his own like everyone is making it out to be.

The point I am making is that everyone is deeming Tim Tebow a STAR. If he is a star...than he can lead his team, a team with a good RB and solid defense, to a deep run in the playoffs. He can lead that team to a victory over very good teams. And until I see him do that...I can't give him the credit that just about everyone in the thread and all of the media is giving him.

im not in here saying that tebow is the greatest, but he is winning games and not turning the ball over. Better than vick who was given 100 million dollar contract.

it sounds like you started a thread to lure people in that you thought would get a knee jerk reaction, only hoping that later on in the future tebow would fail, thus making yourself look better.

That in itself is not what I would call, respectful.

If you can't tell tebow has improved throwing the ball in the last few weeks you are completly blind.

I feel bad for you Sparky, this thread will go down in Covers history and you will be eating the most crow I've ever seen.

    DO NOT FADE TIM TEBOW.

I made this thread the night he beat the Jets. There were 20 threads about how great Tebow is. I'm sorry that people posting in it has annoyed you.

Yes. It will probably be archived. But I will not be the one "eating crow".
