You bring up good points Killer B. He may have enjoyed this lifestyle, which is sickening, but he has had a long time to reflect on his actions. I think that he has hit rock bottom, its got to be extremely difficult to go from having everything, to having practically nothing. Not to mention the millions of dollars he owes to creditors. Hopefully he has realized what he has done and will take actions to try to somehow make up for it.
However, you also completely failed to make any reference in comparing it to abortion. The doctors who do abortions are monsters themselves because they are informed smart people that know exactly what they are doing, which is murdering babies. Yet they do it anyway because it pays good money. Why does no one care about these monsters? Why is that a lesser crime, infact its not a crime at all?
And just because Donte Stallworth didnt intend to do it, does not make it okay. He killed a human being and will face a minimal jailtime sentence according to ESPN. However, I do understand your point. He was drunk, and when people get too drunk, it is very common to make much poorer decisions than one normally would make. But he is a highly paid athlete, there's really no excuse for not taking a taxi, or a limo. What is 25, 50 or 100 dollars for a ride home, to a guy who's making millions? Its nothing.
I know everyone's entitled to their own opinion, and that all right with me. Most people have their minds made up about him and will never give him a 2nd chance. I can understand not wanting to forgive him now, because he still has to prove he has changed. But I think people should keep an open mind about him in the future if he does take actions to make up for his disgusting and repulsive previous lifestyle. But then again, its just my opinion.
