Green Bay Matches up Great vs. Pitt!

The Packers matchup vs. Pitt is definately in Green Bay's favor.

The Steelers cornerbacks have to be no better than the 27th best tandem in the NFL.Playing indoors Rodgers will light them up like a Christmas Tree!

Pitts O-Line is as shaky as they come.The Pack lead the league in Sacks and If Pouncey dosn't play Raji and company will give them fits!

Packers are a one-dimensional team. If you think that matchup vs Harrison Woodley Farrior and Troy in theyre favor then youve got the winner. Ask Kurt Warner and Cards how it worked out for them. You take Rodgers I'll take the guy with the rings. GL

The Packers Defense is alot better than that Cards D was too!

Dont think your thread was talking about GB D was it?  You stated Rodgers would light them up like Xmas trees.  2 weeks will get O line healthy. And Big Ben isnt Todd Collins or Caleb Hainey. GL

LOL.. Yea right.. Ike Taylor is a top ten corner.. By the way this bad cornerback tandem and their mates gave up the 3rd lowest number of TD passes in the NFL(despite no one getting anything td's or ydson the ground) and gave up the least points.. Only Brady lit them up all year.. That being said indoors on turf GB will score .. Should be a good one.. In todays NFL a perfect pass and route cannot be stopped .. Pitt will show up..

Don't worry guys, when GB wins he will be back in here making excuses why Pitt lost.  Mice I think you are a great capper but when you lose a game don't make excuses.  You said Chicago would win and they didn't, thats that.  The Cutler injury isnt even a great excuse because that team is better off without him anyway.  GB dominated the game on both sides of the ball except for a stupid INT that Rodgers threw.  C'mon Man!

Pitt has trouble with 1 dimensional teams. NEW ENGLAND is very simalar on offense,they both spread the field.I hope Pitt has 4 linebackers on the field! 1 or 2 of them are going to have to cover Jordy Nelson or Donald Driver in the slot.Good Luck.It worked ok till the last drive for the cards too. You go right ahead and take the GUY with the rings.Next years Super Bowl you will probably take the GUY with the ring.A.Rodgers! Kinda glad too see u on that side.I like my chances a little more now.

Packers are the play...they would have had a tougher time with the Jets

choll you obviously did NOT read my thread. I made no excuses for the Bears for Cutler or for anyone. I had the wrong side. Its in my thread. So dont stir shit when its already been addressed.  But Rodgers certainly did not play a lights-out game as his Atlanta game. And Pitt D is best he'll see this year. And I'll have the Steelers. And wont make excuses if they lose. Learn to read before throwing darts. Cmon man yourself

well, we wouldn't have covered that 9 point spread against the Bears, but i still say we had it targetted better than most (especially those who thought the Bears could win straight up!)...

what's the word on Pouncey's injury?  i think that is a major key, if he is at all limited... the other key is the turf!  no more slipping and sliding for the Packers skill players... we saw what they did in the Georgia Dome, and this surface will be similar... i still have trouble buying into the Packers against a proven AFC team, but i also know that the Steelers aren't Gods gift to football...

gotta think about this one a bit more, but you are one of a handful around here that are worth paying attention to...

Thanks Ice! I hate saying woulda shoulda coulda but The Pack could have easily won by at least 10.Coming away with 0 down at the 10 yd line hurt but the REAL line was only 3.5 and it was NEVER in doubt! Quick surface 4 the Pack is HUGE!

the biggest trap angle steeler bettors have here is that they emphasize too much how 1 dimensional green bay's offense here will be.  that is correct, packers will not run in this game.  BUT, did the saints run on halloween??  no, they spread this D out and brees torched them.  just like brady did 2 weeks later.  pitt has not played a spread offense since that pats game and now face another one.

I know the Packers Defense is awesome! I still think A.Rodgers had something to do with them getting to where they are. Whar other QB's take the ball 80 & 90 yard drives in the Atl game and the OPENING drive at Chicago 85 yds.Yeah I think he has a little to do with being in the CHIP!

exactly y i am on them here... i actually feel like the Jets depth in the secondary would have helped them a lot vs the packers... i dont think Pitt matches up well the packers strengths r pitts weakness

i was not going to bet the pack big for the superbowl if the jets played the packers.  that matchup would have made have scared me.  but the pitt D is not built to stop this offense.  the green bay D has definately carried this team when the offense has slumped, but the problem is the pack offense will be far from slumping in this game.

well put!  fact is, we didn't need them to cover 9 points, but they should have anyway... the INT off of Driver's foot at the end of the 1st half was at least 3 points taken off the board, not to mention the goalline INT (terrible play by Rodgers)... all in all, it was the worst game Rodgers has played in months (maybe all year), and they still came away with a pretty comfortable cover...

and in reality, Cutler getting hurt helped the Bears more than hurting them... i also think the Packers D relaxed after the Raji TD... they were standing around that whole series, and thought it was over, but they stepped up again when it mattered...

could have been a 14-17 point win, but was good enough for the money, regardless...

have to agree with both people who say the Jets presented a more difficult matchup for the Packers offense, but i'm sure most people don't realize that... biggest fear in betting against the Steelers is that they always seem to have luck (and the NFL) on their side...

The Steelers D is Supreme. No way GB rolls The Steelers. May be close game and I am not a Steeler fan but Pitt is going to get it done. Just my thoughts. Best of Luck!!!! Get it!!!!

Rodgers struggles against good 3-4 defenses... this will be a close game , but by no means will rodgers go out and just light them up...

Rodgers is not Brees. He has a ring. Rodgers is not Brady. He has 3. As good as Rodgers was in Atlanta he sure wasnt yester. 17-30 with 2 ints and QB rating 55. Elite QBs do not go 3-and-out with game on the line in last 4 mins. What did BigBen do with 3rd and 7 in final 2 mins. He made a play. And yes Packers shouldve won game by 20 pts but fact is a 3rd string qb had a shot to beat them with a minute in Game.  And that against #9 Bear D.  Pitt is #2.
And goldilocks if fact that I like Pitt makes you more confident with pick Im glad. Load up on them. I would expect that from someone who made such assine misinformed original statement about this matchup
