I like ur post bmore I just think its gonna be a good year for jimmy johnsons boys...well see what happens very soon and im real excited for the season to start fuck im ready for preseason haha...Ur right about Baltimore theres nothing u can do and its frustrating imagine being a Philadelphia fan...Actually we play the Ravens this year good luck...I have friends from Baltimore and got nothing against them...I heard they could possibly be in the hunt for Favre haha...At least we got the Soul hahahahaha HOW EMBARRASSING we really had a parade...must of been about 500 people there...EAGLES!!!

Eagles are a good team, just don't have all the pieces to put it together.  McNabb still misses some easy throws, and DeSean Jackson is a nice fit, but he will screw up more plays than he will make.

nowadays you need thunder AND lightening at RB.  Westbrook is great, but his game is NOT "line-up in I formation and run it up the gut".
 
Eagles need a RB that can do that so they don't have to pass as much.

Oh stop it. McNabb is a dink but still a Top 10 QB in this league. The Eagles will be fine and the defense will end up being excellent. They are one of the better teams in this league.

Here you go, great point! He lives and dies by Westbook, PERIOD! I think more than half of his passing yards are Wesbrook RAC...if not for Westbrook he'd be eating the turf on every play!

Mcnabb is 46 out of 70 for a total of 642 yards

L8kersFan you obivously aren't or haven't watched the Eagles because I don't think 46 receiving yards is half of 642 passing yards.

Its easy to point the finger at mcnabb because of the last few drives but thats not why they won. They put up 37 points ... in the nfl you should win that game period. There was other aspects of the game that need to betaking care of.

Our rookie Line Backers were lost and didnt' adjust. Special teams gave up way to many big plays.

Nether team looked good on D and if both these teams can score at will they will both make the playoffs. It was a good game and a 4 point home victory for Dallas ... they are the paper champs for now and did what they should win @ home in prime time but a 4 point victory I wouldn't say makes them a lock for the superbowl. Its a long year and we will see come playoff time.

i'm an eagles fan and did not see this thread during the summer.  all i can say is that the eagles are obviously somewhere in between the 'homers' and the 'haters' at this point in time.  there is potential for them to get a lot better on d, especially with the young linebacking unit gaining more experience throughout the year.  i hope the d learns from the game last monday night, and i think they are still learning exactly how to play together effectively.
 
as far as asante goes, he is not and will not be a bust.  he might not have a ton of pics and tds, but he changes the d dramatically.  he is a HUGE upgrade from lito.  he looks fine playing 1 on 1 man coverage to me so far.  i hope that doesn't change.
 
as for the offense, donovan is one of the top qb's in the league.  the main problem is that he does not get better in the clutch like a lot of the great qb's do.  combine that with the fact that the wr's do not get as much separation in the crunch, and the offense seems to sputter when it really matters.  as of right now i think they need to be up by more than a td in a playoff game against the better teams to pull it out.  i hope that does change, and i think it can with lj healthy, kevin curtis and reggie brown coming back and a HUGE upgrade with desean jackson.
 
we will see, but imo the eagles are close to being a superbowl contender.  they need to improve on both sides of the ball, but the potential is there.

I was just trying to have a little fun with these "homers" who were riding McNabb and the rest of the Eagles NUTZ all summer long. This wasn't directed at you. It was more directed at those jokers that were this 'n' that about the Eagles and they said they couldn't wait until Week 2 when the Eagles were gonna beat the Cowboys.

I know the Eagles are a good team and I know McNabb is a good (not great) QB. I will say this though, I do think it's fairly safe to say that having B-West in there makes things MUCH easier on McNabb because they have to key on him.

he was healthy today douche bag.....washington is a very good team, and so is dallas.  chicago was a bad loss. 
 
last i checked there were 16 games in a season, smacked ass.

Westbrook was healthy today??? What the fuck game are you watching dude? As of this morning it wasn't even known if you would play or not...that's NOT the definition of healthy! He's probably in the neighborhood of 70-80% of his normal self...DOUCHE BAG!

 Didn't get to hearr the game much today, but i'm sure the boo birds were out. McNabb should be thanking the Phillies for their winning ways, it's probably keeping some of the boos a little quiet as the towwn has sometrhing to root for. This team might turn into fade material. And to the McNabb/Westbrook stats, i can find the thread i posted the numbers in, if you care to see them, but won't waste the time tracking them dowwn wwhen most people will look at them and " yeah, but........."
