I always like the blitz scheme and aggressive eagles defense. They just need to convert those TO's into TDs and capitalize. They should definitely improve. Not sure if they're top 3 because they play in a tough division.

Yeah, I don't really like the atmosphere at Texas Stadium, there are the few rabid fans like me, but, for the most part it's a bunch of people that don't know when to cheer or just don't wanna cheer. Samuel will be a HUGE bust in Philly and i will explain exactly why.
The patriots NEVER play man to man coverage. they are always in some type of zone where there is Saftey help over the top of the CB's (typically a cover 2 or a variation of that). they never ask there CB's to man up 1 on 1 coverage with no safety help. that is why Samuel was so successful in this scheme. Samuel is great at reading routes and jumping them agressively. He could do this with no hesitation in NE because he ALWAYS had safety help over the top. he is a great playmaker when the play is in front of him but is not suited for bump and run man to man coverage. he will struggle against big physical fast WR's in man coverage. how and why the eagles think he will be successful in a coverage he has never played and does not have the natural ability to play (he was a 4th round pick with 4.5 speed).
In the eagles defense, they rely heavy on pressure packages and they typically blitz the hell out of you and play bump and run man to man behind it. there scheme is based on the fact that there pass rushers and blitzers will get to the QB before he can find the open guy in man coverage. samuel has NEVER played bump and run coverage as the pats ALWAYS play off the WR in zone coverages. i believe that since samuel will now not be able to play the ball aggresively in front of him, he will struggle with the turn and run style that bump and run forces you to play. i honestly feel that FOR THE EAGLES SCHEME, Sheppard and Brown are both better fits then Samuel is and Samuel will be the biggest FA bust in a long time

Also if you think the team and schemes don't affect how good or bad a player is you could not be more wrong. just look at Denver RB's as an example...denver can take a average to below average back (Mike Anderson, Tatum Bell...) and turn them into a probowl 1,000 yard back...its not all about the players scheme is a HUGE part of it.

i think asante was more a product of the system then him being some type of superior CB. Remember the guy was only a 4th round pick and his 40 time was in the mid 4.5's...he is not exactly a world class athlete. he is great at reading routes and jumping them. he also is great a baiting the QB in zone coverage to make him think the WR is open. he is at his best when the play is in front of him.
my concern with him joining the eagles is his ability to play bump and run man coverage. now maybe JJ will change the scheme a bit to help asante but i doubt it. the eagles play bump and run coverage which is much different because you are playing the man not the route and you can't watch the QB's eyes as you have to turn your back to him and run with the WR. he has never done that in the NFL so IMHO it is a legitamate concern. he might be able to do it but i truly believe he will be just an average CB in this scheme.
BTW- i am not a member of the front office for baltimore so me "focusing more on them instead of the eagles secondary" will not help the ravens at all. i could focus 110% of my energy on the ravens and it won't change one thing...hope you got my point!! i do have extensive knowledge on every NFL team so i try to come to forums to help others and for me to gain some knowledge from others that i can use to inhance my NFL betting hobby...thanks for your concern though LOL!!

my concern with him joining the eagles is his ability to play bump and run man coverage. now maybe JJ will change the scheme a bit to help asante but i doubt it. the eagles play bump and run coverage which is much different because you are playing the man not the route and you can't watch the QB's eyes as you have to turn your back to him and run with the WR. he has never done that in the NFL so IMHO it is a legitamate concern. he might be able to do it but i truly believe he will be just an average CB in this scheme.
BTW- i am not a member of the front office for baltimore so me "focusing more on them instead of the eagles secondary" will not help the ravens at all. i could focus 110% of my energy on the ravens and it won't change one thing...hope you got my point!! i do have extensive knowledge on every NFL team so i try to come to forums to help others and for me to gain some knowledge from others that i can use to inhance my NFL betting hobby...thanks for your concern though LOL!!
one more thing i wanted to add. when every idiot so called "expert" filled out there mock drafts, about 80-90% of them had the Pats taking a CB with there first pick. any idiot that knows what the Pats do would know that the Pats would NEVER take a CB that high because there schemes protect the CB's so much that it is not a postion where the Pats feel they need great players...they know they can get by with lesser players and even turn some of the lesser players into All pros because of how CB freindly the scheme is. its no coincidence that since BB has been the coach of NE they have not taken a CB in the first round

Im sure he was the same guy that said when Kurt Warner was putting up sick numbers that he was the best to ever play, when people that know the game knew he was just a system qb, that was surrounded by weapons that could even make a high school offensive coach look good.

Just posing a question........ The consensus is that teams who rely on a lot of blitz packages are covering up for undersized linemen, lack of a pass rush, slow unatheletic LB's and poor cover corners. Is that true?
