Man I was always told not to bet bad teams Dallas is a very bad team. When they learn to start playing like a team instead of the names on the back of their jerseys then and only then they will start winning.
Houston is a very balanced team on offense and are very strong on Defense.
Houston -3 is the play here.
The thing to consider here is not the desperation of Dallas, but how long can that Houston defense hold up? Considering they've played the Colts and Redskins, they should not be ranked so low.
I'm looking at this game as if Houston is a 1-1 team because it's hard to argue that they didn't steal one last week.
I don't trust that Houston defense against a desperate team with talent.
The only way I can tell is after the opening line is released. It used to be alot easier when the Stardust was here. They would put up the numbers at 6:00 on Sunday and bettors would lay $10,000 or more on the numbers they liked, and after that was over, they would let the public come in and bet them.
They would manipulate the line 3 or 4 points sometimes. Most of the other Sportsbooks would fall in line with the numbers after the sharps had gotten hold of them. There were a few independent books here at that time and you could get a 4 point middle.
It's alot harder these days, but if a line drops from the opening early in the week, you can consider it sharp money that drops it. Alot of those lines go right back to the original number or above it by Sunday morning.
I am aware of the moves, but don't make my analysis on a game with them unless a key player or some weather is going to affect the outcome. It is good to have a number in mind with which your willing to give, that way if the price looks to expensive, you can pass.

If anything the Cowboys are the frauds! I learned that from their loss to the Vikings last year.
Nobody is trying to change anybody else's minds. They are just justifying their selections.
Im with you Pro1, Cowboys can't go 0-3, literally the NFL will not allow it. They are actually a great team. It was probably the refs fault they are 0-2. Or maybe the ball just bounced the other way. They have looked like world beaters thus far, just can't seem to catch a break. With the their track record of success, year in and year out in the playoffs, they will bounce back from an 0-2 start, no problem. Even though they have a common opponent, the Cowboys are vastly superior. So much so, that I am not sure why they are even playing game.
They will win because they are desperate, cant argue with logic like that. The Lions have been pretty desperate, how many wins has that gotten them? Ill take confidence over desperation anyday, but what do I know.
