Pidi, I love all the philly bashers here...Zona this and Zona that. I know Hightower and James have been playing well as of late but I know Jim Johnson has a plan in store for Warner, who clearly gets rattled when he has pressure. Eagles got to Manning often and early last week and the Giants O-Line is 10x better than Zona's. Granted Manning missed some open receivers but once you rattle their cage they hear it comming.

phark - You are correct sir. I will say in Mannings defense however, that while he did miss some open receivers, it had to be absolutely ridiculous trying to throw in that wind with his spaghetti arm!

So, lots of talk about the last 2 weeks and Arizona's play in those two games. In Game 1 at Atlants the Cardinals were challenged by the 24th ranked defense in the NFL in total yards allowed, 21st in passing yards, 25th in rushing yards. They did face the #2 rushing offense in the league and did a fine job in stopping the run. However, the defense they faced that day was average at best. In week 2 they go into Carolina and face a carolina defebnse that ranked 19th in total yards, 16th in passing, and 20th against the run. 20th in the NFL against the run yet people were shocked that Hightower and James actually found some holes and ran well? Again, against Carolina, the Arizona defense faced a team that ranked #3 in rushing yards and did a very good job against the run and the Carolina fate was put into the hands of Jake Delhomme and the 20th ranked passing offense in the league. 5 interceptions later we all now know why Carolina's passing attack was 20th!
Now Arizona is at home hosting their first ever NFC Championship Game. In this game they will face a DEFENSE that is ranked #3 in the NFL for total yards, #3 in the NFL for passinmg yards allowed, #4 in the NFL for rushing yards allowed, and #4 in the NFL for points allowed. A top 4 DEFENSE in every category. The key matchup will be Arizona's #2 ranked passinmg attack against the Eagles #3 ranked pass defense. No doubt about it, Arizona has one of, if not the, best WR in the game in Mr. Fitzgerald. Bolton will play, but I guess the question is how close to 100% will he be? Now I will tell you that the Eagle pass defense is not #3 in the league because of it's defensive backfield. It is #3 because of it's front 4 (Patterson, Bunkley, and Cole especially), and because of the defensive schemes that Johnson creates which gives opposing offenses fits! If Curt isn't comfortable in the pocket he will not be effective in getting the ball to his stud(s). That is the Eagles MO and has been all year.
On the other side, Philadelphia brings in an offense that ranks #9 in total yards, #6 in passing yards, #22 in rushing yards, and #6 in poits scored. So whereas in the last two weeks the Cardinals were faced with great rushing attacks, this week they will face an air attack. The question then will be can the Cardinals 22nd ranked passing defense hold the #6 passing attack in check.
I don't think they can, thus I am on Philadelphia.
But, what the hell do I know?

I wish everyone the BOL on whatever they decide to play weekend. I have stated my plays and my reasoning and I amlooking forward to two really good games. Hopefully I can get back on and talk some more between now and then, but if not, to everyone!

I am sampling the public with a SU Question asked to random male and female adults, with many variating differences in age and interest level in football (gamblers vs. non-gamblers).
*Even sample for non-gamblers only b/c:
- EVEN # of gamblers samples' did not pick winner in one of each games this wknd, so this has been accounted for.
?:Who will play in the Super Bowl?
PHILLY is 57/43% to win SU (all sampled)
GAMBLERS SU
55.5% PHILLY
33.3% ARZ
11.1 % No PICK
NON-GAMBLERS SU
50/50 PHILLY/ARZ
BALT/PIT is 50/50% to win SU (all sampled)
Gamblers SU
66.6% PITT
22.2% BALT
11.1% No PICK
NON-GAMBLERS SU
66.6% BALT
22.2 PITT
From my perspective of knowing each of the sample, their average number of bets placed per year, athletic knowledge and ability to be persuaded by frequently losing public opinion...I have this conclusion.
#1 TAKE PTS with ZONA and PITT ML or vica-versa

If Arizona can get at least 95 rushing yards I see the Cardinals winning bye 3. If they put up over 110 yards i see them winning by 6 or more.
Booshasta - No disrespect my friend, but what on God's green earth gives you the idea that the Cardinals can put up 95-110 yards or more of rushing against this Eagles defense? In their last 7 games the Eagles defense has given up an average of 95 yards per game on the ground. The last time these two teams met the Eagles defense allowed 25 yards on 10 carries. In their last 7 they have allowed 3.89 yards per carry against some of the elite RBs in the entire NFL. Please don't tell me that you think that Hightower and James represent the same talent/threat as Jacobs, Peterson, or Portis. In their last matchup Hightower had 7 yards on 7 carries! No, the rushing game will not beat the Eagles.
DUDE!!!! Come on all I said is if. If they do these things I gaurantee you Arizona will win the game. I didnt say they were gonna do this. But If they do run over 95 yrds they will win this game. There you happy. Fucken read the post before getting (Nuha) thats a Hawaiian word for cry baby.LOL

GL PIDI- I'am on Philly as well.Since the"benching", Mcnabb has played better and smarter. I also think that those around him have also stepped it up, and played better since that disruptive incident. Except for the stupid "phone call", on the NYG's sideline, Mcnabb has played with more maturity. As he should, he is a seasoned veteran afterall...As for the AFC Championship game, my intial lean is the Steelers... I think the impressive rookie season for Joe "Cool" Flacco comes to an end. IF, and its a big "if",Big Ben can minmize his mistakes..., and Willie Parker is able to consistently move the ball against the stout RavensDEF., then I see PITT winning the contest. This type of playcalling would attempt to keep the ball away from the incredible Ed Reed. Obviously if the run cannot be established, I think the chances of Big Ben throwing the int. to Reed is quite high. And Reeds after catch scoring threat is friggin scary! Anyway, GLTUPIDI!!!!

redwally - Thus the reason I am light on the Ravens play. I just feel that they can match Pittsburgh physically. I do beleive it could come down to a FG. On the flip side, I can see a scenerio where Pitt just beats 'em up, but more of me say's that won't happen and it will be tight.
BOL this weekend bro.
