Steelers will win. Defense looks 100% and Ben looks as sharp as ever. I would not cont out Tennessee from making it a game but i think Pittsburgh-ml is a solid play and worth the horrible price...
Who knows,if mistakes are made it could mean the Titans stealing one but im sure the Towel incedent will be brought up agian, witch will only motivate the Steelers and make it even harder for the Titans to steal one in Pittsburgh IMO..

bluesplayer, A healthy brady or tenn. would have ousted pitt last year in the playoffs. I am not from tenn or a fan. Frankly I have no concern for themor any NFL team. Im in this to make money (and tenn. is a money maker) and get hookers afterward.
Do you know how many hookers tenn has provided for my party ?

If the Steelers need that towel incident to get up for the first game of the year than they're in trouble.
The Steelers center Hartwig is very weak(used to be Titan) making iit difficult for the Steeles to run the ball last year and probably this one as well.
Take the points in this one, in which promises to be a close game. It's always better to bet against the Champs the first game after a super bowl win.
The towel will keep the fans excited about the game, not the players. If the players really cared would Nate Washington have signed with the Titans this year?
Think about that.
That's not even remotely accurate. Without looking at the stats, I know for a fact that the last few years the Super Bowl champs have consistantly covered on opening night.

Everyone loves to talk steelers D. Last time the titans D took on pitt does anyone remember 5 sacks and 4 forced turnovers on Ben???
"Tennessee did it without Pro Bowl defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth and end Kyle Vanden Bosch because of injuries. Their replacements helped them rest easy as the Titans sacked Ben Roethlisberger five times and forced him into four turnovers that they turned into 21 points.Rookie Jason Jones, who started for Haynesworth, had 3 1/2 sacks and forced Roethlisberger into three fumbles. Michael Griffin, a Pro Bowl alternate, came up with two interceptions for Tennessee."

This racist guy needs to be removed from covers. what a scum.
Anyway, Much love to LAOS........ I was just there earlier this year in vientiene. I think you might be the closest tenn fan to me in northern Thailand.

Good luck with your bet. The Steelers crybabies comment was funny. We haven't been doing much crying lately though. You say that the Steelers shouldn't have "one" the SB (it's won by the way). I'd love to hear your explaination for that. If you mean they could have lost it, then you're right. But they didn't. There's alot of games throughout NFL history that could have went the other way. But they didn't. So who cares.
When capping games you should stick to facts and keep from making statements like that. It will allow people to take you more seriously.
I'm not touching this game. Collins is an average QB and will struggle. He played well in the game last year, but the odds are he wont be able to do it again. I say this because QB's typically have bad days against this D. The average QB rating against the Steelers in '08 was 63.4.
The Steelers dont need the towel incident to motivate them. But it will. Historically, bad things happen to those who disrespect the towel. It's true. The fact is, it's just a towel. But it was disrespectful nonetheless. And tasteless. Contrary to some, I think some players did take that to heart. The home crowd is gonna be pumped for this game. And I think home field advantage is something to consider also. However, like I said before, I'm not touching this game. The Titans are good... but the Steelers are better... Anything could happen.
But I hope you lose your money for the crybaby comment
Just to throw my prediction out there... Steelers 17, Titans 10

steelcash, nope decided against si and now serving in the army overseas. not to get in a war of words but in no way would the steelers have beaten a brady led patriots team and if im not mistaken the titans went in to pittsburgh and thumped the steelers without haynesworth.....you being a football fan you are im sure you are aware and are in agreement

I just don't think that the Titans Offense can score on this Steeler defense. Now, I know most of you are going to say "well last year they beat the Steelers" well last year was the past and this is the present. The Steelers have one of the best run defenses in the NFL so Lendel White and Chris Johnson will be no problem to the Steelers. The Titans don't have any recievers that are difference makers. They don't have a good offense, well not an offense good enough to beat the Steelers. I just don't see the Steelers losing this game.

I'm with you on Tenn, but most of my money will be on the +6. I will probably bet half as much on the ML. In a low scoring slugfest 6 points can make a huge difference!

Last year was a bad spot for Pitt, remember they had one of the toughest schedules ... I think Pittsburgh have marked this matmchup in their calendar, because of the towel incident, what a better statement fot Steeler than beat last year's best AFC team at your home in front of your fans, believe me they will be motivated and a Steelers motivated team is so dangerous, in mi humble opinion this one goes to Steelers ande they will try to run up the score ...
