Brady may be a dink and dunk passer now but like an above poster said if you can't respect taking what the defense gives you, then you should be playing Madden and not watching the NFL. The NFL is a game of inches and if teams are daring you to throw short then it takes a good, smart player to not force the ball. Brady and the Patriots offense has enough confidence in their 3rd and short game. The Patriots are hands down one the of the best 3rd down offenses with all those 5 yard ins and out they always run.

Also, you must not have watched Brady much in his career if you always think he was a dump off QB. Defenses MAKE him throw short because if they played normal he would torch them over the top. Go look how many DEEP TD passes he threw to Moss and Brown. As a Dolphins fan, there was/is nothing worse than that second watching Brady drop back and launch a deep pass before it pans to camera 2 in the secondary. From my experience there is an above average the play will be made. So your only chance vs him is to take away deep passes and force him to go underneath. Well he proved he can dink his way to a SB so there is basically no way to beat him.

I'm sure you will disagree and find faults in the things I say but pointing out your one bad stat and thinking that gives you a valid point is laughable. 0-19 or whatever you say on long passes. Well he has 13 TDs 4 ints in 6 superbowls and the most passes ever completed in a SB (37). You just hate Brady and can't admit how good he is. Or you have a close friend who Loves Brady which in turn forces you to be nothing but negative towards him. The only reason I don't hate Brady as much anymore is because its almost over. Once its over I can't wait for the Pats to be average for the next 10 years.

Also, Tom Brady's 82 yard TD pass to Troy Brown on the first play of overtime to basically end the Dolphins season in 2003 was one of the worst plays of my life. That certainly wasn't a dunk off

When will your team beat the sh** out "the pretty boy" and grab the AFC East, it has been loooooooooooong time ever since Dan Marino retired. I prefer Marino way over this "pretty boy", Dan retires with his clean jersey, no stain.

    Bullcrap ?

When Garropollo who blows wins just like Brady  maybe you'll understand that the real crap was saying that a QB who can't complete a single pass 15 yards in the air was great

NO dink and dunk cheat should be considered with the all time greats.  Looking forward to watching the Patriots( Cheaters) struggle this year going to be great.  Hopefully the Steelers can steal one week 1 that would be ncie.

"Yea wow 22 yards just watched the replay he hit the big lurch with a linebacker  covering him a simple pass I could have thrown that it don't get any more easier than that"

I hate the Patriots as much as anyone.

However: if you're going to denigrate Tom Brady (and believe me, I'm a member of the club-my support of Ted Wells can be found in other threads), you should really have your feces coagulated.

"just watched the replay"? Before, you had Brady throwing dinks for every touchdown. All of a sudden, you just now watched it! Way to get your facts straight.....

"big lurch"? You mean Gronk? All-Pro Gronk? You've heard about him right?

"with a linebacker covering him" Yeah, see, that's the thing. That's what you want. It's called a mismatch. Kind of like you saying Brady sucks. You get a linebacker covering Gronk, and since Gronk is faster than any linebacker............there you go. I used to be able to watch it when Vernon Davis played for Mike Singletary. Somehow, that used to happen a lot. Not so much anymore.

You seem to focus on 15 yard passes. You don't have 50 TD passes in a season throwing short. 7 4000+ yards in a season. 300 yards per game in a season three times.

Do you think Randy Moss scored 23 touchdowns on bubble screens?

What the Patriots do, better than 90% of other teams, is manage their strengths better than the other team.

    Got Randy Moss? BOOM

Wideouts getting doubled? Welcome Gronk and Aaron Hernandez

Receivers can't get deep last Super Bowl? 11 catches by Shane Vereen. That tied for second most in a Super Bowl.

Oh. Other guys with 11 receptions in a Super Bowl? Wes Welker. That's the one where he dropped that deep pass from Brady. See what happens when you throw deep to a non-deep guy?

    .............and Deion Branch-133 yards-MVP

You make money betting against the Patriots? I doubt it..........have a nice day.

    Cassel 2008- 3693 yards, 63.4 completion rate, 89.4 passer rating, 21 touchdowns

    Brady 2009- 4398 yards, 65.7 completion rate, 96.2 passer rating, 28 touchdowns

Cassel stinks he's not a starting QB and that 2008 year was his 1st start since high school he never started a game in college

How much difference from the so called  greatest ever to a scrub like Cassel in his first starting roll since high school ?  it's a joke

Garoppoplo will win too it's a horrible league and dink and dunk ball control offense of the Patriots makes any QB a winner

Garoppolo  will be the next greatest of all time .just  watch
this whole league is a big farse

Cassel led the Patriots to an 11-5 record and was a top-10 quarterback in 2008. He threw for just under 3,700 yards and 21 touchdowns and also ran for 270 yards and two touchdowns.

Cassel finished in the top-10 in passing touchdowns, completion percentage and passer rating.

And all this was from a QB who before this  last start was in high school

it's all system and it's all easy  and any stiff like Cassel or Brady can win with this team

And now we will see Jimmy Garoppoplo win by throwing little 5-10 yard passes against worn out stinky defenses just like Tommy boy .

But in his first year starting in the NFL Cassel  achieved being a top 10 QB in the league , but despite that sucsess and experience never did anything else close to that since

And  if Brady went somewhere else in 2009 instead of Cassel he would be long out of football

Tom  time to move on don't let the door hit you in the A S S

Bring on the next great QB Garopppolo

    No doubt about it .

KENB10 is MTSTICRICH I didn't see it at first but after his ranting in this thread I have no doubt.

Everything is the same ,never ending hate for Brady , the cherry picked stats , comparison to Cassel while never mentioning the Pats went undefeated the previous regular season with Brady breaking several records at the time , making post after post after post about the same thing , and always getting in the last word when someone disagrees .

Who does all these things except KENB10 and MYSTICRICH ?

Many on here can't stand Brady and  some hate the guy and I don't blame any of them , if you're not a Patriot fan the guy is easy to dislike . But KENB10/MYSTICRICH bring this to a different level .

There was guy here who said over and over that Tom couldn't throw the long ball. I think his name was Mystricrich, Is he still around ?  Or did he pull a Clark Kent ?

Heck, Tom is 37. what does he expect ?   Peyton can't throw the long ball anymore either but I don't see that being thrown at the Denver fans !

How much difference from the so called  greatest ever to a scrub like Cassel in his first starting roll since high school ?  it's a joke

What you fail to point out, is that Cassel didn’t exactly set the World on fire despite the “system”. He averaged only 230 ypg passing. With an 11-5 record (10-5 in games Cassel started) they FINISHED SECOND, to the Dolphins, something that doesn’t happen when Brady starts.

Year before he got injured? 300 ypg, 50 TDs, 8 ints, 4806 yards.

300 yards per game throwing dinks………………………….right

You want to know what Cassel led the league in his one year? HE GOT SACKED 47 TIMES.

He was so bad, and getting sacked so often, Belichick altered his “system”. The Patriots were 7-5, and decided to go with the ground game. They averaged almost 180 yards rushing, and won the last four to make the wild card.

Yes, Cassel never started in college. That’s because he STARTED BEHIND TWO HEISMAN WINNERS, Carson Palmer and Matt Leinhart. Call me when you find another guy that this happened to.

Sorry this doesn’t fit your narrative, MissB*tch, but you are the southbound end of a northbound jack*ss.

And, if it’s just a “system”, how come that “system” didn’t work when Cassel went to Kansas City? Scott Pioli, formerly from NE, gets named GM of the KC Chiefs, and signs Cassel as a free agent. Why? Because it’s so easy to run the Patriots “system”, right? 4 wins later, I guess the “system” doesn’t work all the time, everywhere…………

Brady is all about himself? So, when he wins SB MVP, and gives the truck to the guy that made the pick, he’s all about himself?

    Wrong again, moron
