The Giants would have challenged that the runner's forward progress was stopped prior to the ball coming free...I've seen this reviewed and won several times. It is pretty easy to see his progress was stopped before he fumbled. So to my point, had they intially ruled it a fumble being so late in the game and Coughlin challenges what seems like every play, this would have went to a review and what I believe would still be Giants football

finally! someone on the giants side admits they got lucky! it annoys the shit outta me that most giants fans refuse to admit they got lucky, its absurd! you got a lucky call, it happens! sometimes u get the calls, sometimes ya dont, and u did, just be happy....

im not having this argument again.... but i can pick out multiple plays for almost every single game where a players 'forward progress' is stopped n they allow 2-3 seconds before they blow the whistle. this was an immediate whistle, but im not saying it was a 'bad call', im just saying it was a tough break.
