Ok sure, maybe the Steelers wouldn't have won with Kordell or Maddox...
 
But I do think they would still win with Warner, Rivers, Brees, Romo...
 
And Schaub, Hasselbeck, Cutler, Collins, Rodgers...
 
Not to mention Peyton and Eli along with Tom...
 
Come to think of it probably also with Garcia, McNabb, Favre, Delhomme, Ryan...
 
 
 
Bottom line: The Steelers DON'T win because of Ben.

Dude... Of course we all know it's a team game.  Ben is just one of the key reasons they won.  I never said otherwise.  He's one of the main reasons they won SB XLIII.  He's the main reason that they've been winning ever since he got drafted.
 
Let it be known too that the government is currently working on a suit that can make you invisible.  Seriously... I'm not even joking.   Someday soon people may be invisible.

I hate to see this awesome post die. I think the original quote was that Ben was a drama queen. Didn't he just tell the media that he played the superbowl with cracked ribs that the steelers didn't know about? The cracked ribs showed up on an MRI later.
 
The point being...Ben told the media about it...not the steelers.
 
That is looking for attention in my book. Isn't winning the superbowl enough?

That the steelers had no idea of, that only came to light on
an MRI. But Ben brought it to the medias attention.
That's pretty much spotlight grabbing isn't it?

why else would he do this?
 
there is absolutely 0 reasoning behind bringing up an injury
AFTER the season, unless you want to make an excuse
[which wouldnt make sense because he won a SB] or
you want some more credit.

What bothers me is mentioning Cowers name in this. Has he been asked if Ben is a box?
 
Well, I'm sure they'll clean it up, but the question remains. Has anyone asked Cower, or has he ever been on record as saying Ben exaggerates/makes up injuries?

I thought of this thread as soon as I saw the reports last night.  He's an odd duck to be sure.  Lives in my town(ship).  I thought the original thread was right on the money, but didn't want to get in a fight.  He had a great SB, but he is a little attention person.

big ben sucks.....the steelers are a lucky team.....o-line stinks....team stinks...he is the luckiest qb in the history of the game....STRICTLY A GAME MANAGER.....he fumbles 10x a game....throws a MILLION PICKS....and is SUCHHHHH a drama queen that he WAITS til the END of the superbowl to bring up this RIB THING<<<< but wait doesnt that mean that he ISN'T  a drama queen?????

guys give me a break....how lucky is he???? he is like 59-22 as a starter.....stillll throw more td's then ints...completed 60% of his passes this year..in a year that he threw more then most years AND lets remember he had one of the hardest schedules this year....also the most TALKED ABOUT QB this year WARNER only fumbled 3x less than him....please guys give it a rest...seriously just give the man his props....

by the way the comparison to the ravens wasnt to this years team...it was to the early 2000's team that everyone said could do it ALL with defense and all they need is a game MANAGER....and all said fuck TRENT DILFER....and THEN....they did nothing after that.....

lol....my point exactly....that was the comparison not to the flacco ravens which were completely overmatched but you wouldnt know it by the fools talking....

these fools think 2 steps in front of them and thats it....gotta look behind...lol....ben been one of the most consistent qb's in the league since he came in....has had inconsistent STRETCHES....but consistent overalll.....lol take care haters....lol lol lol lol lol

thanks scama....and of course a "decent amount", he is the qb........i just think over the course of 20 games, the defense had alot more to do with the steelers getting a championship.....people want me dead for that
