I know I'm going to get hammered by this but this guy is a drama queen. Who gets carted off the field for a mild concussion? I know I'm climbing a slippery slope when it comes to head injuries but give me a break.
Every year this guy creates drama about his assortment of injuries. Well guess what, it is the NFL and all QB's have injuries to deal with. What was it his rookie year or 2nd year where he said he was playing with a broken thumb and Cowher shot that down as lunacy? Then its his shoulder and now last week he gets carted off due to a mild concussion.
Give me a break.

big ben holds the ball too long. i am tired of peeps saying his o-line sucks. he chooses to keep the ball and become hunted prey!
you must not watch the games then.... Have you seen them try to run the ball???? They can't. The Oline is a joke, I am a Steelers fan and I will say right now that the line will lose them the AFC Championship game...

Big Ben Sucks period. The guy is a turnover machine. Holds the ball to long takes way to may sacks throws a lot of stupid throws for picks. Before he got knocked out of the game Sunday the only the guy did before that was throw a pick in the red zone. Single handly lost the Titans game. He didn't win the Dallas game Tony Romo gave that game with the pick six.
Ben had one good season with a great D fense and run game and won a Super Bowl. All he did was manage the game and turn around and hand the ball to Bettis. Not even Big ben can fuck that up. Rode that great D fense. Lets not forget all the Shady calls on Seattle in the Super bowl. Like the QB sneak when Ben was a yard short and it was still called a TD. Then the phantom holding call to take away a Seatlle touchdown.
The guy has one good season and gets a life time pass from steeler fans to throw picks, fumble, take 10 sacks a game and suck for the rest of his life.

This thread is retarded. All head injuries are treated with extreme precaution. They cant tell on the field how serious the injury is. If you don't like him as a QB that's one thing, but this is stupid.

run blocking and pass blocking are two different things. ben DOES hold the ball too long and if you don't see that then you are obviously a huge ben fan which is fine. look at the top QB in the game and bad o-line or not, they get the ball out of their hands quick. Manning has had a beat up line all year. Brady in 01, 03, and 04 had an average line at best.

stupid? I'm not giving fault to the medical staff. i am calling ben a drama queen for making it look like he had a season ending injury. i know they had to take precaution and it was because ben exaggerated. he had a mild concussion. he exaggerated plain and simple. just like Paul Pierce last year in the Finals.

Exaggerated? Man you are crazy! These posts are ridiculous. Ben lost feeling in his hands and arms as soon as he absorbed the hit. Head, neck, and spine injuries are EXTREMELY serious and should be tended to carefully and cautiously. What if he would have broken his neck on that hit? Everyone is being careful. If you were out there you would want the best medical care possible. This thread is stupid.
You think he had a choice about the stretcher? Man lets talk about football not this ignorant shit. Big Ben is not a Drama Queen.. He is a WINNER. He does hold onto the ball for a long time and he feels the pain of those decisions at times. I hope he can make adjustments in the years to come so his career won't be cut short. High School, COllege, and the Pros he has done nothing but WIN.... Question his audibles, field vision, or his performance at home vs. away but don't touch this topic. Your digging deep and going out of bounds with this BS.... People like you hurt the credibility of covers.

The whole reason this post is stupid is because it's not like Ben orchestrated the damn thing. He was hurt (obviously) - he slammed his head on the ground! And the staff did their job. What's supposed to happen exactly?

Has one good season?!? Or, maybe it's 5, since he has the best record off all time for a QB in his first 5 years:
49 - Ben Roethlisberger (2004-2008) 48 - Otto Graham (1950-54) 48 - Dan Marino (1983 - 1987) 48 - Tom Brady (2000-2004) 46 - John Elway (1983-1987)
Look, I'm a Steelers fan, and his holding the ball too long bugs me as much as anyone. I think he's stubbornly playing the same way he did pre-motorcycle accident, and some 100 or so sacks later. He's not as illusive as he used to be, and his line is nowhere near as good as in 2005. But the facts are the facts. He wins ballgames.

whoa bud...are you a family member? have you played football before, just curious? i played all through pop warner through high school...i know big deal. but i will tell you, there have been numerous times i've taken or given such a huge hit that my fingers tingled or were a little numb and i can tell you i never was carted off on a stretcher.
i just think this guy is a big baby who has exaggerated his injuries. it is documented. the freakin guy was trying to claim he had a broken thumb on his throwing hand and still played. yeah, right. cower even said that was ludicrous at the time. every year, it is big news that he has a shoulder problem or something.
never hear the same crap from manning, brady, warner, mcnabb, etc...
by the way, this is a sports/gambling forum where folks share opinions. so enough with your drama of 'this hurts the credibility of covers.' i guess you and big drama ben are two peas in a pod...

It's "documented" that he fakes injuries? He's been sacked 192 times in five years, and he did a face plant into a windshield on a motorcycle. Why do you insist on fakery when the situations of injury are well documented?

I think Worthlessberger getting hurt is actually a blessing in disguise for the Steelers and their fans. I think they're a better team with Leftwich under center.

Since you're a Cowboy's fan... do you have a similar opinion of your own QB? How many playoff games has Mr. Romo won for you, let alone Super Bowls? Just sayin'... if you're going to throw around the "worthless" nicknames.

LMAO! Security! Security! STALKER ALERT!
Ha ha! Tony Turnover did not have a good year, he's still too careless with the football. IMO though, he's not the problem, O-line let him down in several big games. Not only were they weakened with Procter in (after Holland went down), but, theres no excuse for all of the constant penalties putting Romo and the Cowboys in unnecessary 3rd and long situations. The WR's efforts are certainly in question, their route-running was pathetic and they basically looked lazy in their lackluster efforts to get open. Play-calling at times has to be questioned as well, especially when the opponents defense is clearly getting through that weakened O-line and you fail to make adjustments to that (screen plays, draw plays, quick slants, etc.).
How's that? That enough for ya?
So anyway, I stick by my stance of Ben being called 'Worthlessberger'...you have your opinion and I have mine, mine is that he is an absolute turnover machine. He holds on to the ball waaaaaaaay too long and he looks like a deer in the headlights a lot of times.
