2021 Draft: Howie Roseman figures the Eagles can't do much at #6 to grab another pro prospect QB, so they're gonna make a deal with Miami and trade back to #12 - still get an impact player - and also get #123 in return for Philly's #6 and #156...AND Miami's #1 in the 2022 draft.
So the Eagles are gonna fly with Jalen Hurts, and Jalen knows he's their guy and he's gonna be motivated to produce in 2021.
2020 Draft: Brian Gutekunst and The Pack are sitting at #30 and have their Draft Day board all nice and scribbled with game changers for their team. Gutekunst explained (after the draft) what he was thinking when they swapped spits with Houston and moved up to #26 from #30: He said "like in every year" they weren't looking for a QB, but when the players started getting picked and it was getting down to crunch time, they didn't see anybody else on their board and so they grabbed Jordan Love, the Mountain West honorable mention QB. LMAO...that sounds like they were laser-focused on a QB.
Just for context, they took a BC running back in R2 and a CINN tight end in R3.
So in Round 1 CLYDE was still available at #26, and so was Michael Pittman, Chase Claypool, and Jonathan Taylor.
Gutekunst became Dir of College Scouting in 2012 and Dir of Player Personnel in 2016 after being hired as a scout a couple years earlier. The Pack last were in a SUPE in 2010 season/2011 beating the Steelers. The team with arguably the WORST management in the NFL - Houston - came calling in 2018 looking for a GM, and before Brian could head to the land of the bluebonnets for a parlay the Pack offered/promoted him to the GM spot. Can you say "Peter Principle"? So good for The Pack...the executive committee is still happy (gotta assume) and the free brats and beer on game day makes it all worth their efforts.
Decision of the referee is final: The Pack got a GENERATIONAL TALENT and rode that sucker for all he was worth, and he'll be heading out to stud in a year or two in Cali, but the Eagles have the better management team.

LOL not arguing here...maybe hot stove stuff. I'm not sold on Hurts either...too small a sample size in college even though there was some impressive stuff...but at least he knows he's the guy, which means a lot if you want him to be your leader and you want the team to stand with him. And the Iggles won a SUPE against the GOAT (only Eli and the G-MEN can say that, too) with a HC who actually DID fall outta a legit coaching tree (Andy Reid), and with a QB2 who's turning into a journeyman.
The Pack has an all-timer and their HC is just getting over a two-year pissing contest with the future HOFer because...oh, right, because he fell outta the "Sean McVay Coaching Tree" - about 3 years too soon. And McVay hasn't won diddly yet. The Pack's GM is just a rubber stamp for the president and the HC, and I'm not a Rodgers fan, or a GB fan, but I can't wait to see what happens after 2022 (or sooner if chit happens).

easy to say say now he did good their rookie years. Lots of teams passed on Pittman and Claypool. The LSU rb was not that great. Started off hot for KC then faded. In case u forgot.. Rodgers was drafted late 1st round and did not play his rookie year.. look how he turned out. Until we see love play.. u can’t really give an grade. Qb’s are a premium.

Not arguing with ya...and definitely not armchair QBing...whole point is the Pack knew Love wasn't playing (and they of all teams/management/HC should remember BECAUSE they did the same to Rodgers, but Rodgers had the goods coming outta college in a pro style offense).
So Green Bay grabs a RB in R2 and a TE in R3...guys that don't nearly match up with Clyde, JTaylor, or Claypool. Those 3 guys I just mentioned were all well known on draft boards. If GB went in R1 for an Edge, a CB, an LB, or a RT then I wouldn't be saying this. BC's Corey Dillon's gonna be a part-time back, and won't be on the field in 3rd and short passing downs, and the CINN TE, Josiah Deguara (who was invited to the Senior Bowl as a FB) is gonna be a special-teamer.
You're telling me they had the same potential as Jonathan Taylor and Chase Claypool? And everybody knows what Patrick Mahomes said when asked who he wanted the Chiefs to pick in R1 of the draft. He said "get me Clyde". So c'mon man, lol...the Pack shit the bed (again).

My Eagles are taking a gap year. They are old, bad and in cap Hell with dead money. They are not going to contend for anything it is time to start trying to get some mid level picks for past their prime players collecting big checks. But Eagles are three years away from having a decent team after last year's disaster this is a season to see what Hurts can do nothing is expected. My Rams sold the future and the kitchen sink for the next two years. I am just hoping to be able to hop a flight to the West Coast and go to the new stadium in LA.

Eagles are gonna be one of the worst teams in the league this year and I'll be going against them every week. You know you're bad when the Skins and Giants are better than you. Dallas is too. So they're worst team in worst division, and the only one in the division with a new coach, a rookie HC at that, with hardly any experience at QB, young WRs, old and bad players on OL and a sieve secondary.
Hurts stinks. I watched him a lot in college, he's a turnover machine who fumbles all the time and has a very low game IQ. He's just going to be a sacrificial lamb this year playing with that supporting cast. Even if you draft someone this year you would ruin them with that O line they get crushed like Wentz did.
