I'm definitely saving some units for Seattle In-game too, if they go behind at any point. Lets not forget how Russell Wilson brought his team back from 14-0 vs the Skins last year, and then 27-7 in the 4th Quarter vs the Falcons last year in the 2nd round.

People sleeping, disrespecting and counting on RW to be Seattle's downfall is just plain wishful thinking.

SF better, better, better start off fast or this game could be out of hand. I'm not going to be around till sunday, but lets just say I already bought my skittles and am fully ready to be throwing them at the TV screen come sunday night.

Goodluck man, can't wait for all the SF backers to dissapeer, or comeback sunday night bragging how the got SF +20.5 ingame and how they ended up breaking even for the night.

Haha, I love watching people gas up a play all week and after the game, they went ML or made it back on an unposted in game bet. Like that handjob XYZ. Touted GB all week. Spammed the site with post after post of GB wiping the floor with SF. Then after the game after dozens of people hammered him, he had GB +3.5 when that was available for maybe 15 minutes before kickoff. Dozens and dozens of posts he went on and on about SF. Never once said he was waiting for the line to hop up to 3+, never once said he would buy a hook to get 3, but after the game, he was ALL OVER GB +3.5. SMH.

I don't think we will see that though after this one. For the most part, the regulars who give their 2 cents and contribute to my threads are all cool honest dudes. Very little bashing or bickering(knock on wood). I try not to add to the Covers circus by keeping a record or having flashy titles. I'm honest if I got lucky in a game or got robbed. Never bump winning plays to rub it in and never come in after the fact with non posted plays(I might mention a play I made here and there, but I'll mention losers as much as winners). So I don't have many views or replies at the end of the day, but the regulars that do pop in are all good peeps(knock on wood). Back in the day, I used to post almost strictly in Andarmac99's threads because so many more people followed him(every week 20k views and 100+ replies) and even in that atmosphere, there was never any bashing and stuff because the regular guys were all cool dudes. No douche bags, no bragging types, no wanna be touts. I recently dug up a thread from playoffs 2011, bumped it, and there was like 40k views over 250 replies and we tore those games apart and absolutely slaughtered our books. And not one negative reply out of 250. So I try to keep things like Andy used to. Positive posts, a little humor, a little small talk, etc etc.

Earth, I followed your Miami thread early in the year and made a nice penny riding Miami when they were on, so good stuff, man! I faded them week 1 in Cleveland, but after that I hit them I think 3 weeks in a row through that Atlanta victory. I wound up staying away from them almost completely once the Incog stuff went down, but early in the year, you opened my eyes to them and I made a nice buck that first month of the season. Awesome thread you had and stuff like that is why I post and try to give back to the community from what I take.

Well said man. Glad I checked one more time before I headed out for a longggggg weekend with my girlfriends family.

When I said all the 49ers backers, I wasn't referring to this thread. Just the people on the boards who act like SF +3 is a gift from the gods and the pick cannot lose no matter what. (As pumped as I am about my Seahawks play, obviously nothing is even close to a lock with so many variables) People in your thread always seem to be respectful, and I love to debate cordially. I am kind of a sarcastic person so sometimes I come off more of a di*k then I mean to, but I try to be respectful even when I disagree. (unless I read some outlandish garbage.)

I'm glad you enjoyed my Dolphins thread. I live right near Philly, so most of my friends are Eagles fans and I can't have real discussions regarding the Dolphins without them telling me how much they suck, or how in love I was with Henne or some stuff like that. I really have a good feel for them and try to help people out the best I can. The thing about the Dolphins is they are literally 1 of the top 10 most inconsistent teams in all of sports. They will compete hard with the best teams in the league, and then no-show the next week when they should handle business. Very frustrating.

Like you though, when I'm wrong I will be the first to admit. Its all about playing the percentages, its really all we can do. We don't control the outcome of the game so its frustrating when people on here act like they were the QB for their winning bet. Hopefully we have a great weekend and I'm back here sunday night talking about who we like in the superbowl. Goodluck and lets go Sea and NE!

Yea Wildcat, I roll with two locals and while both did eventually go -3.5, local 1 quickly slid back to the -3 -125/-130 while the other has been playing the juice game on -3.5(sitting on -105 most of today).

Everywhere I look, there seems to be insane SF love, so I have to think you will get a reasonable -3 wager without paying -130 sometime before kickoff. I'm a guy who believes that generally books want 50/50 action. Not every game. There's always a game or two on a Sunday where a road fav is laying 2.5 or 3 or 4 and I know they will still get equal action at even -6, but the books don't seem to bite. I think those are the games where the brains behind the line look at those games and see a high chance at an upset and gamble a little bit themselves. I think this is sort of a game like that. I think the brains behind the big casinos and off shore gambling spots KNOW Seattle is the play and while they know that SF is sucking up crazy action and its a bit lopsided(I talked to maybe 20 people this week between work and friends and i would say 16 love SF, and the couple stray guys who like Seattle all said they are afraid to lay more than 3), I think the books know that if they drop this to -3 -110 or even -2.5, they will get murdered on big Seattle money that has been patient. I penciled in this game at -4.5 last Sunday and I think if anything, the game slides closer that way. If anything to smoke out the patient Seattle bettors. People see 3.5, then it hits 4 maybe at -120, and then people panic and get in their Seattle bet before it goes higher, and then it falls back before kickoff.

Honestly though, I'm not big in trying to dechiper public/sharp money or try to guess what "Vegas" wants and it effects my wagering zero. I do keep an eye on things as it is a small piece of a very convoluted puzzle, but for me, its simply to watch so I get can get the best possible line in every game I bet. Sharp money/public money/trap games/ etc etc never ever sway me on my wagers. No one knows the outcomes of these games, and I think its nuts that people believe that there's a magic genie somewhere out there that does know the winners before hand and the "man" is out there playing tricks with how they set their lines. Every casino has a brain who caps well and knows what they are doing, and they all breakthings down just like WE do. From there, every book adjusts as they need to. Mostly to get 50/50 action, with a sprinkle of gambling

UHQB and 2020DR, I thought long and hard about an over in that Pats game. I really SUCK at totals so I'm staying away. I have a feeling if you have some patience, that total with drop a couple points Sunday early afternoon so sit back and you could get 54.5 or even lower.

The only thing stopping me from saying IM SURE the total will drop is the fact that its the AFC championship and with only 2 games and extremely high volume(EVERYONE is betting these game), it could hover at the high number of 56 as the common bettor does lean towards over more often than under. If Denver was the late game, I would say there's a great chance it stays up around 56 as the world is chasing that early game, but being the early game....all u need is one big tout releasing UNDER or one of those big name "syndicates" making an under play, and it could very easily be 54 by kickoff. IMO, the game should play out like most early season Denver games. Once the scoring starts, it is just gonna keep coming. Pk6, special teams, basically a typical sloppy Denver game up in the 41-31 realm.

GL fellas. Let Denver win 37-34 and I'm happy. :)

Very important angle IMO. I don't see it going to -2.5 though. Maybe a reasonably juiced -3, but IMO after it trickles up to -4 or -4.5 for a bit. Try to sniff out as many Seattle guys who are being patient and get them to panic(as well as a bunch of SF money as well) and THEN fall back to that 3 area. Maybe you can see things like Seattle -3 -105 and buying a hook to -2.5 won't hurt too bad?

Some more great reading material and do respect the fact that other people like you Glyde, come on here and do not try to rub their wins in other people's faces and will mainly post and talk about their losses. I agree there really is no gain for someone trying to be "sharp" especially when it has nothing to do with betting a side you feel is better in a particular matchup, or when you get a certain number that you have capped as being key to cover. I don't agree at all with people who say that not being able to evaluate talent is not key in betting. Numbers are def important, but a trained eye that can back up matchups with "certain trends" and a few key numbers to me is more important. Just fading public money does not do it for me and while I decided to hedge some money back on SF to be in the green regardless of what happens this wkd, I am also still very confident in the Hawks taking this game. I rarely ever do it, but in this situation at the end of the football year, why not I guess.

Just added one final play for the weekend in a ML parlay with the Seahawks and Wiski in CBB as the line has continued to drop just enough to make it a little more than even money. Love my Maize and Blue, but we will get our first L in league play tonight after they suffered their first loss in Bloomington earlier this week. Stupid Badgers. I am weary of the Denver vs Pats game as well, but still like Denver to find a way to win, but would have been happy with +6 or +6.5 for the Pats, as they have have only had a single game cross that margin of victory this entire year, which was @ Nati by 7 points (13-6). Strong lean to Denver to take game straight up no doubt, but will wait to see if I can get Pats a little higher and buy a half point to +7, otherwise will just watch and hope for Denver win. Either way great thread again and best of luck Glyde and hope you come out on top!!

Haha no doubt and it is at 6 PM tonight on ESPN right after the Cuse vs Pitt game Glyde. Line opened at -8.5 and then dropped to 7 and now back up to -7.5 for Wiski. We are 4-0 in conference play, but the lose of Mitch will catch up to us eventually and while our games have been close with Wiski, especially after last year's debacle at the end of regulation and low scoring, I can't see us winning straight up @ the Kohl and it is asking a whole lot to start conference play 5-0, while winning on the road in the Big 10, especially here. This is a small play for me so GL Glyde!!

Seattle -2 is a no brainer IMO. I really think the Seahawks steamroll.

Denver only -3 though....that's tough. I do like the Pats, but only getting 3 makes it a lot easier to lay a FG with the home team. Tough call there.

What a great recommendation on my part, so that terrible SU prediction is on me. We shot the lights out for the majority of the game and just held them off at the end. Wiski just couldn't hit anything for long stretches until inside last 10 of the 2H. I'm honestly a little shocked and can't believe they are moving to 5-0 starting all frosh and soph outside of Morgan and Jon. Took a little away from Hawks 4 me so oh well and Pats was the solid number round 6 or 6.5 as a few said. Will make a play 2H if I feel the need and BOL as always man!
