I don't want to sound off like a "know-it-all" because I AM NOT....but I do know some about sports injuries, particularly "hammies" as not only did I major in exercise physiology (sports science) back in the olden days but I suffered 2 hammies myself (each leg, separate times)....and let me tellyou, the degrees are important, but these monsters can linger all season and not heal fully until the off-season....USUALLY one is looking at a solid 3 - 4 weeks at least for the tissues to repair themselves (pending severity of tear) just to get back to about 75% - 80%........ NO WAY was Barkley even close to 100% and that of course risks tweaking the hammy in game-action......which would be huge, both for the game but likely the next SEVERAL weeks 

I feel bad for the dude and his teammates/fans.  I hope for a speedy recovery.
