Things are finally looking up in New York. The Jets brought in
some fantastic young talent in the 2022 NFL Draft and have a
strong young core of players to build around in Ahmad Gardner,
Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson. The team showed improvement
last season, finishing 7-10. That wasn't good enough to lift the
Jets out of the cellar in the AFC South, unfortunately.
But that should change in 2023.

Is the following a fairly good list of excellent QBs (past 30 yrs) who's knowledge & opinions about OFFENSE in NFL football we can respect?  Not looking for the *PERFECT* list -- just if this one is a decent representation of QBs who are very knowledgeable about OFFENSE and QB play....

Lance? Darnold? or injured Purdy?

After replacing an injured Jimmy Garoppolo (who early in the season replaced the injured Trey Lance) in Week 14, Purdy went 7-1 as the starter. The final pick of the 2022 NFL draft, Purdy ranked third in the NFL in QBR (68.8), fifth in completion percentage (68.5) and first in yards per attempt (8.9) after becoming the starter.

Lance and Sam Darnold, whom the Niners signed in free agency, are expected to take San Francisco's quarterback reps while Purdy is recovering from elbow surgery.

looks like darnold will b a forever backup now and bounce around a few more teams

Unfortunate, but he had his chances.  They just never panned out.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley is exhausting his last available play in his quest for a new long-term contract.

Phase one of New York’s offseason program begins Monday and he’s not showing up for the start of the team’s voluntary offseason program in an attempt to gain leverage in his contract dispute.

Jalen Hurts signs a 5 yr extension for another $255 MILLION

.....making Hurts the highest-paid player in league history.

The contract keeps Hurts with the franchise through 2028.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network both tweeted the news, noting more than $179 million of the contract is guaranteed.  

Barkley has yet to sign the $10.1 million franchise tag the Giants placed on him after inking quarterback Daniel Jones to a monster deal last month. He doesn’t intend to sign anytime soon, either. That leaves open the possibility of skipping the entire spring, mandatory minicamp and potentially training camp. He would not be subject to fines because he hasn’t signed the tag.

Barkley is “unhappy” with the tag, a team source told ESPN in recent weeks. That is not likely to change unless there is an agreement on a lucrative long-term deal that pays him among the top running backs.

It’s no secret to anyone who has watched the NFL over the past two seasons that Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has quickly emerged as one of the quarterbacks in the entire league, but one recent stat highlights just how dominant he’s been.

As Jarrett Bailey of USA Today Sports points out, Joe Burrow isn’t just one of the best and most accurate quarterbacks in the NFL currently, but he’s also the best and most accurate quarterback since at least 1999.

“Since 1999, no quarterback has a higher
career completion percentage than Joe Burrow
at 70.2% (min. 750 plays), per RBSDM Stats,”

The NFL announced Friday that three players – Quintez Cephus and C.J. Moore of the Detroit Lions and Shaka Toney of the Washington Commanders – have been suspended indefinitely for gambling on NFL games in the 2022 season, while two others have received a six-game ban.

With availability to legal gambling being so widespread now I suspect this won't be the last we hear on this topic

stupid players should have others place bets for them NO players in any sport are allowed to Gamble on any sport big fawwwwking signs in every locker room NO GAMBLING or face suspension

It's likely they also have this discussion with their players in pre-season team meetings.
