It is my belief (and it is supported in the numbers), that home-court/home-field advantage is a function of home team attendance. in the playoffs, the atlanta crowd has been a different animal. the place is sold out and the energy is back. the hawks are 3-0 ATS at home these playoffs. it might not be the highlight factory anymore (josh smith seems to prefer 20-foot jumpers to dunks these days), but the energy will be there tonight.

I follow you all the time, as a matter of fact my fellow Handicapper and I are Huge fans of yours and think you are the best we have seen on covers. With that being said, I really cant see the dallas game covering, reason being the very statement you made.. DALLAS has yet to lose ATS this playoffs... but bottom line, line movement, Matchups, and a guy by the name of JAMAL crawford, make me feel like the hawks win game 3 at home.

the bulls haven't been that impressive this postseason spare maybe game 5 vs pacers, they don't look like the same team that killed the hawks in the regular season... hawks core's playoff experience a definite factor (i feel) i had bulls in game one and was beat by a superior team

Artest out is actually a good thing for Hell-LA, that Queens boy is so bad at offense, it is scary at times, and Dirk was making him look like a fool on the Defensive end anyway!! I had all the arguments in the world, including - I am talikng game 2 and not the series - arguing with same MrBator. After dissapointing game 1, and game 2, I was too at first tempted to think - m ust be game 3 - year of Jackson retirement as well as Kobe wanting to equal (impossible) MJ and so and so - NBA wanting more games. Endless and logical arguments besides 3 most important ones - MOTIVATION, ABILITY AND HEART. Gasol is pussified, Odom and Bynum are good next to... Lakers are not hitting Three pointers. I have watched a few Knick teams go up 2-0 to the Bulls in the Hay Dayz, and the Bulls would always comeback and beat us. Now, we would win those 2 games at home, kinda like Miami has this year. Dallas won these on the road so it makes it a really tough up hill climb for LA. I would not bet against the champs here. Would Not. Kobe's backs are against the wall, and they are going to fight like rabid, hungry, starved, sleep deprived, animals. Just my 2 cents...

Bodio, I was a bit surprised to see you on the Mavs tonight. I keep thinking that L.A. has to win one game and game three seems like the best chance they have, add in the fact that the NBA needs the big two teams, Celts and Lakers, to push some ratings, then this is the perfect spot to back L.A. I cannot see them being swept.
Yeah, that's probably the reason why 65%+ are on the Lakers tonight when the same people backed Dallas in game 2. I'm just going by what I saw and to me Lakers are just simply out-matched in this one. Who knows, maybe Lakers can pull it out, and I'll back Dallas again in game 4...good luck!
