Anyone that watches games for a living, it didn't effect their thinking at all. I was never worried about the Celtics winning, it was only a matter of time before the Lakers couldn't offset what they got themselves into the first half.

No, thats not how it ends up being in the NBA. When a team gets up by 14, the only way you honestly can come back like the Lakers did is playing at home and shooting all those god damn FT's.

and if someone is smart enough and have won overtime to bet that kind of money, they wouldn't get worried because they obviously already know what the hell they are doing. I hate people throwing around big money talk on here and I usually don't, but I bet a good bit of cash on every sport.

Can someone explain something to me?

I was watching the game tonight, but in a crowded, noisy environment, and had a question about a particular call.

There was about two minutes left (roughly), and the ball went out of bounds, and appeared to go off Garnett, and I thought they said they were going to replay it, but ended up giving the ball back to Boston.

    What exactly happened there?

Kobe still managed to get over 20 points and 20 shot attempts.

And had the lead late in the game......Gasol and Bynum was doing their thing...so where did the game get taken away.

I remember Rondo blocking Fisher from behind....I remember Artest looking discumbobulated...dribbling around and throwing up crazy three pointers......yes, Kobe was a little off, but he is a high volume scorer...he got more attempts than anyone on the Laker team.......even Phil Jackson said in hindsight, we probably should of went to the post more with Bynum/Gasol as they had great nights.

Bottom line is Lakers was in a tight game and Boston played better down the stetch.....

Stern wants it to be a series...clear by the way the officiating swung to boston's favor in game 2...if they play that game in the street the lakers win by 20. nba should make their influence a little less obvious...its still a business but they're turning into the WWE with they way they control outcomes.

Kobe plays aggressive.....last night to me, he was overly aggressive on maybe two plays.

Were there some questionable calls against him.....absolutely!

But were there some questionable foul calls against Garnett and other Boston players (Davis block shot on Bynum)....absolutely!

That stuff balances itself out......but when the dust settled and the final horn blew, the Lakers clearly netted 15 extra free throws and that is taking into consideration the intentional hacking that occurred against Boston with less than a minute to go in the game.  So in actuality the Lakers had 20+ more free throws, but yet the fans feel that they were shafted.

Lakers got outplayed by a hungrier Boston team.  I was hoping for a bigger Lakers ML in game 3 but I guess there are too many Lakers backers and the books anticipate the Lakers to play a better game 3.

I am a Celtics fan and the officiating was indeed horrible on both sides. I saw shot block by baby no contact foul. kobe drove in the 4th and one where perkins did'nt so much as to lay a fignernail on Kobe. My concern as a Celtics fan is the Laker dominace of the bigs and the total disappearance of Garnett ! Just watched the game again two fouls that went on Kobe were wrong ! But I felt the same when Ray had 5 fouls in game one and did't see where 3 of them came from ! My other concern as a Celtic fan it seems that Rondo and Pierce cant have a good game the same day ! I predicted Boston in 6. I have a series bet on it . But it smells like 7 to me !!

    What exactly happened there?

Legler said on ESPN that it was a blown call that it should have been a foul on Pau if they were going to give the ball to Boston

If you watch the tape VanGundy criticizes Garnett after the play because he had 5 fouls and came over the back on Pau.....

So I don't see how they could of seen it as Celtics ball...

Are you really basing a officials call based on a play by play analyst opinion from Espn?

As for kobe.......Donaghy said that stars get away with stuff that other players cannot get away with.  Problem with Kobe tonight is he was overly aggressive...refs had to call it....b/c his actions resulted in a competitive advanatage......can't just run around 'hand checkin'-- 'bumpin..etc..etc...when you expect touch fouls o be called against you when you go to the hoop or operate in the post.....

But still.....Lakers had practically a 20+ ft advanatge before the late game fouling --- and that is suppose to not be a factor?  Heck yes it was a factor....boston had to sweat the game out b/c of that alone.....along with excellent low post play by gasol and bynum.

are u kidding. even the anouncers said his third foul the ray allen flop was a bad call. announcers never say stuff like that. his 5th foul was a charge called way late. i watched it 10 times on my dvr. kobe is in the air forever before big baby davis even sets his feet. he slid under him after he took off. this is the playoffs since when have the playoffs not been agressive. there were bad calls both ways but the ones against the lakers took out their star player and key other guys.

the ball off garnetts hand? even reviewed and still went to the celtics enough said. the announcers said they would over turn it no doubt oh but wait they didnt. maybe they got confused on who has a black hand. lets think garnet or gasol. lmao
