Why have fouls / FT's increased in the playoffs?

False. Pace of play slows down, teams shoot worse FG% in the playoffs with the defense increasing. FT's attempted doesn't necessarily mean more points.

That's the point. Everything isn't equal in the playoffs. It's a different game.

If you were really smart, you would know that my thread is the REAL reason why the Bulls and the Pacers (2 of the best defensive teams in the NBA) are struggling mightily.

The refs are not letting them play any form of defense. as soon as they try, they like they did in the post season, the refs are blowing fouls.

All of a sudden, these 2 great defensive teams don't know how to defend? LOL

The reality is, the NBA has sent a directive to the refs asking to be really stringent with calls, call everything and anything..and I have no doubt in my mind referees are betting on games with this information.
