Detroit at home.
Look at Atlanta's schedule. West coast swing, one quick emotional win at home against a good team and then back out on the road.
Doesn't mean they won't win and cover, but those are factors.

Everybody in that arena was there to see the Hawks and they didn't know how to react. Milwaukee beat them by 30.

Apples and oranges. I'm not talking about Detroit and a crazy home crowd. And they haven't even sniffed PLAYOFF contention....Atlanta is in the discussion for best team in the east. Not the same. And this is Detroit's first home game after a roadie, not 2nd. There can be a difference (often times, the first home game is like a road game and the SECOND home game is where you can have trouble....according to an NBA coach I trust).
It is not the best spot for Detroit...I agree. It's a worse spot for Atlanta.
I'm also not saying Detroit is a cinch to cover. Someone asked about the line and I offered an opinion.

I live 3 miles from the Palace and the buzz around here has been alarming since we haven't been excited about this team for a stretch. Tickets are flying around town as we're getting hyped for tonights contest. I'm having a hard time making a call cause I feel that I'm not able to get my hear out of the equation... Should be fun to watch for us locals though. Go Stones!!

To say "bet Detroit because they are on fire" is stupid... Hawks are on fire and have been for longer.
Detroit has won their last 2 games on the road against good West teams.. if anything this is an emotional time for them, not Hawks, and are prone to letting that get the worst of them tonight..
Detroit can win SU... but not worth betting on...
