I'm sure we've all seen crazier things. Let's hold out a little more hope.

Now we can call it. All good, Bator. Get em next time. Hope to see you post more. peace_5

There's no such thing as a horrible pick. It's either we had the right one or the wrong one.

I called it at 47-31. I spare myself as much agony as I can.

I appreciate that, but I think I gotta agree with Moneybags9. The decision to go forward with a play on the Magic after learning that Vucevic was taking the night off was a horrible one.

Funny enough, I was going to come in here and post a thread backing the Spurs tonight. I have not been on here for a few days. Completely missed with the Mavs pick a few nights ago, but JJ Barea being a last minute scratch hurt. Still, won't use it as an excuse because the Kings came out to play, and Dallas looked old and slow against the athletic Kings, who must have gotten a boost of confidence from their outing against the Warriors, where they should have won.

Not to be a party pooper, but I don't like the Magic tonight. Nor do I like the Jazz. And the Rockets game is problematic because, as LC mentioned, Ariza is in the lineup for Washington. The reasons for backing the Spurs here are the following:

    1) The team has actually improved its play over the last two weeks. Yes, their road record is/was horrible, but this team now has confidence and is playing better ball. So I''m not sure that road record applies to them here.

    2) The Spurs are a vengeful team, and under Pop they never forget a loss, especially on their home floor. So I doubt they will look ahead in this spot and/or overlook the Magic.

    3) The spurs are coming off a long home stand, so they are even more rested and ready than the Magic, who are coming home after having been on the road for a week in a foreign country. That scenario does not sound appealing to me.

The only thing the Magic have going for them tonight, is the star out theory. But that star is such an important part of who they are and what they do that I'm not sure it is such a good thing.

The play here is the Spurs -3

I also don't like the Jazz because the Warriors actually laid an egg last time out and they still beat the Jazz in Utah. The Jazz played out of their minds, and the Warriors messed around and somehow got the win. Having almost lost, I think the Warriors will come ready to play. Also, this team plays better, and with less pressure, on the road than at home these days. Remember what they did to the Bucks on the road? I think the Jazz might jump out in front early, but the Warriors will come back and eventually win the game. Nonetheless, I'm less confident in this play than the Spurs, so I don't recommend anything here.

    Good luck whatever you choose.

That scenario does not sound appealing to me.

great call on the rockets. I hope you also played the jazz. it's good to see you around here again, MrB. We would love to have you around as long as possible. Any thoughts for the bowl season and nfl? Any input would be much appreciated.

I'm not trolling BTW.  I love Mr. B's write-ups and analysis.  It's just that he drops them like once every solar eclipse.  I don't really blame him.  Too many degenerates here get mad when they blind tail and the results don't match the analysis.  Those guys should just stick to LeagueCapper's posts if they're looking picks only.

I agree. I don't like to see this either. A miss is a miss. Weather it's by one point of thirty points. And in the end, he went 1-1! There is no shame in that. So I hope he keeps posting, because the man is incredibly knowledgable and smart.

Yes I really appreciate the analysis. Too often it's just picks without any back-up. We need more Mr.Bader type content!

Those 'degenerates' do take the time to read the analysis and that's the whole point of the write-up no? for you to read. A blind tail would be you just tail whatever he calls without reasoning.
