Bator sighting so I must chime in...great insight as always Mr Bate....let me give my opinion on the Orlando Magic 2018/19 squad:
This team is NEVER to be trusted, they are terrible at the 3 ball and defending the 3 ball, so if the other team is hot, Orl falls behind quick and cannot go tit for tat...also, while I do agree that Clifford has brought some great qualities (and yes you can SEE the difference), indeed they can compete with anyone, but this is still a Low IQ team that lacks relaibility and integrity and thus can and WILL quit anytime they feel like it....in other words, ANY game that the Orlando Magic play is a Black or Red roulette spin my man.
GTFs report on your 2018/19 Orlando Tragic folks...this is not advice pro or con today's "match"

Tbh, without Vuc, this is a true stay away for me...however there are plenty of examples where a team steps up for one stand alone game and rallies around each other when their star player is missing for personal reasons...and the birth of a child is always well received and respected among teammates...if anything, Orlando comes out and wants to play even harder for Vucs little bundle of joy....and yes, this could be a monster game for Bamba if hes given more minutes...at home, hes playing better each game, his confidence is high...it could indeed be a career game for Mo tonight vs a Spurs team who suck playing D on the road.

Great thoughts Bator. I loved the Rockets tonight and almost played them due to having most of your same thoughts. I ended up passing because of the Ariza factor. Wasn't sure if he could get his new team extra motivated to play his older team. I would have backed the Rockets in this spot right away if it weren't for that.

In all the years I've been on Covers there is no one more amongst a few others, I have much respect for then Mr. Bators bar none one of the best on Covers to follow his write ups which are incredibly knowledgeable in reading indeed.

Wiz ML +500 along with the pts are almost too tempting to pass up, especially the way the nba zig zags following a result like they had getting embarassed in Atlanta in their 4th Q meltdown...not many think Houston will lose this game...i actually see them finally laying a home game egg here...the Ariza angle is real

Okay guys, here's the very latest. I just contacted the Magic beat writer for the Orlando Sentinel and he confirmed that although the baby was born locally, Vucevic is nonetheless skipping tonight's game. I then asked him if Mo Bamba is up to the task of playing twice his usual minutes and this was his reply...
That's a great question, and he better be. My opinion is that Mo has underachieved to this point, but maybe this will get him going. He needs to be more assertive. I can understand letting the game come to him at the initial stages of his rookie season, but it's time to step up, get aggressive and take over, on defense especially. He's relying too much on what got him by in college. This is the NBA. He's having trouble blocking shots even with an 8-foot wingspan. He needs to rethink his approach. It's a whole new ballgame up here.

Good work! Bamba blocked 4 shots last game so maybe he has begun being more assertive. Let’s hope so.

This is a really great thread, thanks for creating it.
I'm interested in people's thoughts on Brooklyn. Brooklyn has a solid squad mixed with athleticism, consistency, and veteran leadership. They have 2 good/excellent scoring PGs in Dinwiddle and DRuss and strong athletic players all around.They recently added Rodions Kurucs to the rotation and hes been solid. I don't want to really touch on Caris Lavert, but man i like his style and was sad when he went down. I thought that would really deflate the team, but they actually went the other way with it and have been playing really solid. I think the fact that they learned hes going to be fine and may be back this season has given them some extra juice.
So this brings me to the question: what am i missing here? -1.5 vs the Bulls, who hate their coach (WTF was that about him choking out Jerami Grant) - this guy is nuts and lost the locker room. And levine just went out for 2-4 weeks with an ankle injury. Sure Sure maybe he was the problem and now that he went down maybe that will bring them together. That's all fine and good, but what happens when its time to play and score buckets? Who will get them 20 a game? who will get into double digits. I just don't see it.
I haven't locked in Nets -1.5 but damn, shouldn't this line be -4.5?
