ROCKETS @ SPURS: GAME 5!!! 10-4 Playoff Run. Write-Up And Pick!
#3? Maybe I'm biased but if you'd rather have Dantoni over Popovich you're crazy. Popovich is GOAT. Always pulls together a great season even with having less powerful teams than some. Look up his statistics and credentials. Broke the record for most consecutive 50 win seasons this year with 18 straight. That's just one example. Not saying the Spurs will win this series with Parker being out but Popovich > Dantoni. Dantonis team this year lives or dies on the 3. Not a great way to live long term. Just my opinion.

With San Antonio trailing 98-97 with 13.5 seconds remaining and Oklahoma City out of timeouts, Thunder guard Dion Waiters elbowed Manu Ginobili to get the space needed to inbound the ball.
"On the floor, we did not see a foul on the play," referee Ken Mauer told a pool reporter. "However, upon review we realize and we agree that we should have had an offensive foul on the play. It's a play that we have never seen before, ever, but we feel we should have had an offensive foul on Waiters."
Pop need defer to the crutches and wheelchairs no more. Does giving up 5.5 here thrill me? Of course not. But that is why line reading is point #1. It leads me to take them, not abandon the Spurs.

Scal you said you have more reasons for your play. Would you mind to share those? If you have time.

Thanks for the write up Scal. After game 4 I was thinking to slam my spurs game 5. Because like you said Popovich is a mastermind. Only thing that's got me second guessing is that after game 1 it looked as if Popovich needed to go small ball to start game 2. He didn't and it worked. But now it really looks like that's what he needs to do. But he's proved me wrong before so who knows with the mastermind. I'm actually trying to convince myself to hold off and make a live bet on this one. I really think that the first 6 to 8 minutes of this game is going to tell it all. If the spurs are up early that would tell me Popovich has it figured out and they win this series with 2 consecutive wins in games 5 and 6. Simply because if the spurs win this one comfortably I just don't know what Dantoni can change and throw at Popovich game 6. I actually think it would be best for Popovich to run more minutes with a LA, Kawhi, Simmons, Green, Murray kind of group. At least when Houston only has 1 big on the floor. Not only would that be a better defensive approach but offensively with Capela/Anderson on LA and Ariza on Kawhi I think Simmons can put it on Harden. And if it's Anderson as the only "big" any of our guys can put it on him. I just think LA, Kawhi and Simmons inside is the better approach against this rockets team. Then again Popovich will probably do something else to amaze me. He'll probably find a way to make the LA, Pau duo work like he did in games 2 and 3. Just interested what he does against their small ball line up. In game 4 we scored 104 points. That's enough for us to win but we don't have the guys to give up 120+ and still win. But I dont see the rockets hitting everything they throw up like in game 4 as long as Popovich makes the necessary adjustments. Also think Kawhi rebounds after an eh game. Will probably be on the Spurs with you. Bol man!
