As for the game tomorrow I would have to say Nets -6.5.  The Barclays Center will be rocking and the Bulls will be without Luol Deng once again.  The Bulls were able to hang around in the United Center without him, but I just don't see that happening in a game 7 on the road.

If you are going to place your money on this, at least bet on which one has the best chance of winning. Not just the one that "could" cover.

The winner of this game could be the tougher team or the healthier team. If the healthier team wins, can day cover? Would they have enough motivation to seal a statement in game 7 - like being the ninth nba team winning a playoff series after trailing 3-1, they could also redeem their mediocre basketball by playing the way they are expected under an interim coach that will definetely want to get this opportunity to prove something. Their bench is a big spark in the series and their chances of winning is dependent on how many times they can go to the line. If JJ and Deron dominates the back court, and Brook finds a way to cover the paint, it's game over to the Bulls.On the other hand, when it comes to tough coaching I think this banged up team has a lot to say. Like I said before, they looked like this all season long and they responded decently. Based on the report they have'nt won game 7 in the last 6 attempts, it's time to break the drought. Experience and composure will play a significant part for this game. Deron , JJ and Brook can be contained, they know that and they will do something about it. It will definetely help if nate and marco catches fire when brooklyns composure falls to pieces.Final verdict for me will be the CHICAGO BULLS, they are playing really really hard . . .they will win this one, the 6.5 plus is just an assurance. It's all about adjustments, I'm counting on coach Thibodeau's prowess on this one. BOL for all of us.

I agree that coach thibs owns pj i every aspect of coaching, at the end of the day, the players are the ones that will play the game, shoot the ball, and play defense. Regardless of how magnificent the defensive scheme that coach thibs does, if the players are not that healthy to execute it, then there is no use of it all. I admire the heart of the bulls and their ability to play through pain, but they are really tired. Aside from them being sick and banged up, majority of their players played 40+ minutes last game. Thats brutal, and with just 1 night of rest.. I am on BKN on this one, because of health, greater offensive power and HcA. Brooklyn crowd would not allow for the knicks to advance and them to go fishing.

Interesting spot here, I am 2-0 so far in the playoffs this year (BIG money on each game.) My handicapping strategy is pretty much identical to Tony's. The articles Tony have been posting are spot on with how I approach every line I bet on.

To me Chicago is too injured.  Will side with the Nets and in MLB will be on AZ.

First off, I have to say that this is by far the best forum I have read since following this site. I recently made an account just to track my bets on the blog. I actually need to catch that up, but I have been on your last three and thankful. Also, phenomenal articles. I really like/ appreciate the one about making lines. I will admit I am one of the somewhat newbies or amateurs who figured it was all about predicted final scores and neglected the obvious money flow aspect. The way i see it is:

Chicago +7 (but I will wait because I think it will go up a little more) My insight is, 1. Chicago has more heart (sick or not) 2. Brooklyn's offense can become complacent when they get a lead, meaning Chicago will likely get down double digits and maybe as much as 15, but still be able to come back to at least cover the points 3. Like previously stated, Chicago has the better coach.

On a side note I could see this game going over because Brooklyn will try to set the tone and get in transition trying to score quick. I don't personally like their half court offense and think Chicago has a clear advantage in that category.

-Just my likely picks and will continue to follow the thread leading up to game time for the great insight from all posters. If anyone recognizes funny line movement, please post with an explanation as I'm trying to learn more about following it. Also, if anyone knows a good spot to find legit public $ figures let me know. I know covers has the section, but we don't know who is really betting dollars as opposed to doll hairs and amounts.   

The point spread article and the origins of the spread was great.  I have heard that sharp money bettors will often try for a middle.  Case in point where Balt. is -7 at one house and -5 at another, would it not be wise to try a +7 and -5 bet?   Also I have experimented with spread and money line parlays in combination.  Sorry if I am going off the track from the one bet a day concept

Solid thread tony, been reading it for a few days now. Profit is the goal. Smart, educated, well thought out wagers are key. Hope this stays active.
