Relax Jabroni, most of the posters in this thread are seasoned gamblers..... we've had our share of bad beats and good beats, and we'll get over it and move on......

Basketball is little different than other sports.... more happens in the last 2 minutes than other sports, and it is the big plays made by teams in the last 2 minutes that differentiate a good team from a great team. More games are won or lost in the last minute in basketball than all other sports combined.......
All plays made in the game lead to that one big make or break moment within the last minute..... So yes, you can point to many other factors in the game that "could have prevented Howard from being in a position to miss crucial freethrows", but he was in the position and he needed to make a freethrow....
.... and then give credit where credit is due, Fisher made a clutch shot..... if fisher misses that shot, we are not even talking about all the late magic debacles....
why are we trying to teach a 23 year old to make a shot my 11 year old can make. Because he has been coddled and told what a stud he was since he could slam at 12. Tell me about it. Few things are more sickening than watching the Purple & Gold escape another trap. It's been almost a decade now of watching teams shrink in the big moments against the Lakers.
