Lebron James needed to go to Miami and team up and build his team to win a title...even in Miami he only won 2 titles in 4 years with a stacked team. To be considered the best ever there is no room for error.  Those years in Miami was his prime years and he did not deliver. Ray Allen Bailed him out.

Bottom line is that LBJ and MJ played the game differently each having different attributes that are better than the other we should just appreciate the greatness while we have it and stop hating on it.

100% no doubt his greatness is just so easily accepted now,its the gift and the curse when you put up video game stats for over a decade straight.....i mean garbage,40 points,11 boards,8 assists, plus steals, blocks etc..etc..thats a fu.kking CAREER NIGHT for 98% of the league....but its just another ho-hum "well,we expected it of him" nite for lebron.

this feckin joke of a forum sums it up perfectly...on any nite where he comes up short(mentally normally) the place will be inevitably flooded with threads from losers about how he "sucks" and hes "terrible"(even tho he probably still put up 23,8 and 7 in a loss),and yet when he dominates its crickets, not a single fu.kking peep from anyone.
it just shows the level of personal bias and hatred towards the guy,its insane....i mean i find him a bit irritating sumtimes how he conducts himself but got no problem giving credit where its due....he is an unreal talent that does everything and is almost unbreakable over a 13 year period.

I got to watch most of Jordan in the 90's being in Texas and seeing those spurs and rockets games were nice.

Its a myth the whole conference competition argument, in the 90's when jordan started winning the best teams outside of the bulls, were in the west Sonics, Suns, Rockets, Spurs, Trailblazers, Lakers, Jazz all had HOF ers all time all time players (Drexler, Kemp, Peyton, Hakeem, Robinson, Malone, Stockton, Barkley)

You could compare the pacers in lebron's day to the pacers in Jordan's day, Knicks in Jordans day to the Celtics Lebron had to face.

Not much different between then and now and I already said just based on win% lebron has had tougher finals match ups than Jordan did.

no room for error??..dont even now wat that means,do ya have to win the whole thing every single year or??...jordan took 7 years to get a ring then missed out on his comeback season after playing only a few games before the playoffs...and of course didnt win in his absurd comeback with the wizards....so hes eliminated too then??.

the fact that you think winning 2 titles is not delivering and that ray allen "bailed him out" simply by making one single shot(which,by the way,was his fuk.king role on that team) after lebron was the most important player all season long suggests that you shud probably stay in the kiddies room whilst the adults carry on the discussion..

and perhaps if lebron had phil jackson, scottie pippen, horace grant and role players that didnt shrivel beneath the bright lights then he wudnt have had to "build his own team".......aint it just great looking at everything in a vacuum and disregarding the facts you dont really like??

and make no mistake im in favour of jordan here....but the continual dragging down of james is ludicrous.

no,definitely not....the thread starter who is claiming that lebron is on a different planet to jordan is who im talking about....clearly it is a trolling thread of the worst kind designed to bait and rile people,NOT to generate genuine discussion....and/or he is under the age of 15.

i got zero problems with you, regardless of any disagreements we may have......at least you can offer a reasoned, thought out, rational response..

oh,and also hes a lying piece of shiit...guy said a game was fixed and guaranteed a win a cupple years back..(pacers at home as -7 faves versus atlanta hawks game 5 i think??),said he stops posting forever if they lose....well,guess wat???....thats rite, they lost!!!

i wudnt care if it wasnt for the fact that hes incredibly irritating and impossibly stupidand deliberately posts garbage to draw a reaction.

he was at it again before the superbowl, crapping on about how theres no way on earth panthers dont crush.....whoops..

i dont care wat opinion folk have on a game but if you gunna tell everyone its fixed and "vegas" controls it and anyone that cant see it are idiots then you better back it up and not run and hide whenever you wrong...which,amazingly enuff,is about 50% of the time.

I just saw this and I want MJ supporters to tell me how this is possible..... In playoff games without Scottie Pippen MJ had a record of wait for it of 1-11........ unreal how much of an impact Pippen had on MJ's legacy.

LBJ Career Stats (per game): 27.2 pts., 6.9 assists, 7.2 rebs, 1.7 steals, .498 fg%

MJ Career Stats (per game): 30.1 pts., 5.3 assists, 6.2 rebs, 2.3 steals, .497 fg%

    Reg Season Win %:
    LBJ: 0.651

    MJ: 0.587

Eastern Conference Playoffs Opponent Win %

    LBJ: 0.595

    MJ: 0.633

*Although it should be noted that MJ's teams finished as the 6 seed or worse 4 times (getting bounced in the 1st round 3 of those 4 times) resulting in a higher opponent win % in playoffs due to facing top 3 seeds in first round while LBJ has been the higher seed every time he has been to the playoffs not finishing below the 4 seed.

    NBA Finals Opponent Win %:

    LBJ: 0.755

    MJ: 0.746

LBJ is 31 this season, he has been to 7 NBA finals, including 6 in a row. He has 3 NBA championships. He has 4 NBA MVP Awards, 3 finals MVP Awards and is number 1 in NBA history in Value Over Replacement Player (Jordan is #2).
MJ at 31 had 3 championships, 3 finals appearances, 3 NBA MVP Awards, 3 Finals MVP Awards
This notion that Lebron is not in Jordan's ballpark is ignorant and uninformed. One could argue that after LBJ won this finals (beating the best team in NBA history (win %)) then he would indeed be more accomplished in his career to this point than MJ was at the same juncture with regard to age.

We just witnessed something that will never ever happen again.

73-9 team losing in the finals, no1 will ever beat 73-9 so it will never ever ever EVER happen again. And a team throwing a 3-1 lead in the finals will not happen the next 10-20 years either probably. So we have two things that will never ever happen.

And when the next time a team loses from being up 3-1 it will probably be the underdog to do that, so its not comparable to a 73-9 team THE BEST RECORD IN HISTORY to lose it.

The best player in the history of basketball just beat the best team in the history of basketball with the best finals performance in the history by a player ever. Being down 3-1 in the series on top of that, the first team to come back from that as well. This is historic and incredible. And will NEVER be matched. NEVER:

dude, you offer a compelling case for lebron and well reasoned points to consider....but it looks as if youre really reaching here and its hard to know if youre serious or not.

are you actually implying that jordan "needed' pippen to win and be successful, that he cud not do it without him and that pippen was the sole and only reason jordan was able to get over the top??...cos thats absolutely laughable and you know it...come on,theres no need to drop to that level, taking ridiculous stats and using them out of context......of course jordan needed a great player next to him and good role players,EVERY player whos ever played needs that,no one wins by themselves....but did he need pippen specifically??.....ah,no.
you know very well that that bulls team before pippen and grant arrived was crap and it was an accomplishment just to make the post season.

soooo....while we're asking questions and under the impression that scottie pippen is the reason for success and trophies galore can you tell me this, why is it that pippen played 17 years in the league and HE only won rings with jordan on his team??...he went chasing after a ring and played with decent talent on those blazers and rockets squads and cudnt get it done...so,wat gives??

Its actually well documented that Pippen left the bulls amidst MAJOR back issues. It was expected that he would have missed game 7 in the 98 finals if it went to game 7. There is a lot of documentation on it. My point was that there were a lot of things that went right for Jordan to emphasize his greatness and that his 6 for 6 is more of a team accomplishment instead of an MJ alone accomplishment which is what most MJ supporters make it out to be. It NEVER fails that you hear that, 6 for 6 statement in MJ's favor.

When he came to the rockets, my hometown team, they were all washed up Hakeem was on the backend of his career as well as drexler and barkley. Pippen was coming off of back surgery. Talent in names but not much else.

The 1 for 11 thing is something I came across reading an article about two clock violations that ended up helping the bulls in game 6 of that 98 finals which resulted in a (5 point swing in the bulls favor) therefore allowing Jordan to shove Russell to the baseline and hit that shot lol! Otherwise; game 7 maybe and maybe no pippen, maybe no 6 for 6....... how would his legacy look different? its cool to look at things like that and how the league works.

are you actually implying that jordan "needed' pippen to win and be successful, that he cud not do it without him and that pippen was the sole and only reason jordan was able to get over the top??...cos thats absolutely laughable and you know it...come on,theres no need to drop to that level, taking ridiculous stats and using them out of context......of course jordan needed a great player next to him and good role players,EVERY player whos ever played needs that,no one wins by themselves....but did he need pippen specifically??.....ah,no.
