The Celtics only dominated the "best" team in basketball this year with the "best" player in basketball.  They are also well on their way to dominating the second best team in basketball with the "best" big man in the game.

Why couldn't it be the Celtics year?  Why aren't they destined to win it all?  They have just as much, if not more, talent, coaching and intangibles as the Lakers.

fyi...best player is KOBE....and Gasol has soooo many more weapons than Howard so i like Gasol vs the c's instead of Howard....all he can do is dunk and play d and rebound, gasol has many weapons in is O game and he rebounds ok and his d is ok but his O WILL GIVE THE C'S FITS THIS TIME AROUND...

Why I think Lakers already having a winning advantage over Boston?

1) The SUN is a better sparring partner that the Lakers are getting before the championship Match w/ Boston.

2) Why is Orlando failing? Same reason, they have the worst sparring partner w/ the worst East Coast Teams..before meeting Boston.

WestCoast---->Very strong Sparring partners. If you come out from the West--->You will have a better chance of winning.

Lakers so far have done what is expected...won at home.
Celtics have done the UN-expected and extraordinary..taken TWO on the road vs the second BEST team in the East!
Lets see what happens to the "Lake Show" game 3 in Phoenix......I am betting that they lose.....and if they do they LOSE gm 4.
Celtics will take OUT the Lakers in six or 7. Bank on it!

Living in San Diego and Vegas, I have a TON of friends who are Laker fans.  We have the same discussions all the time, but they all agree that Gasol doesn't like the physical stuff.  When he plays against smaller, non-physical, non-aggressive defenders, he OWNS them (See Jeff Green, Carlos Boozer and Amare Stoudemire).

That won't be the case against the bigger, thuggish likes of KG, Perk, Sheed and Davis.  I'm sure Sheed is licking his chops to body up to Gasol and get in his head.

is it possible for Phil to play this lineup...

Kobe, Artest, Odom, Gasol, Bynum...

on offense, that leaves Kobe to run the point... that's not really a problem... difficult lineup for Boston to match up with...

on defense, can they hold their own?  Kobe on Rondo... Artest on Allen, Odom on Pierce (?), Gasol and Bynum on KG and Perk...

i think Phil is going to experiment with that lineup at some point... i almost think he has to...

Just because you have the best record dosen't make you the best team, as the Cavs, Magic, Mavs, and Suns have found out. These are great teams in the regular season but as we have all seen they are not built for the playoffs. Defence wins championships, and Orlando and Phoenix would have trouble guarding the Sisters of Mercy. They have also made a living at the 3 point line and trying to outscore their opponents, too easy to shut down. We also found out the Cavs are a one man show, again too easy to shut down.  The Lakers and Celtics have been so dominate in these playoffs because offensively they have too many reliable weapons, both teams play very good defence and both teams have a great coaching staff. These two teams have shown how superior they really are to the rest of the league, but to gauge how they will perform against each other based on their dominace in these playoffs is not very wise, and I do know the Lakers haven't had to play any real defence except in game 5 when they had to turn it on and the Celtics have not played a team with a real offence. What will happen? I believe the key to the series lies in Rondo. As he goes so does the Celtics Offence. Who has had to guard him? Nelson? Mo Williams? If I were Dr. Phil I would Put Kobe on him. Lakers in 6.

Barring injury the Lakers have 0% chance of even competing against this Boston team,This Boston team is much better than the team that raped the Lakers in the 08finals,There bigs will not let the Lakers roam free in the paint,and Rondo will dominate Fisher
