battle of the homer threads...
Have u been following the east at all?? The Celts are 4-1 on the road the last 2 weeks against the biggest favorites to beat them...
homecourt won't matter ....the celtics play a thing called DEFENSE.
You wouldn't see them give up 112 against ANYONE like the flakers did the other night...
bring it on
CELTIC PRIDE BABY

I can't wait for the celts to kick their asses.
then all the faker threads will get lost in cyber world...just like 2008.
celtics
The Celts are playing great defense no doubt, but they are older. Again the Lakers are a different team and are hungry for back to back. The Celts play dee but so do the Lakers now they didn't in 2008.

If the Celtics handled LaBron, what do you think they can do to # 24????
What a minute no comparison who is the better closer! That being said poor Lebron doesn't have the talent around #24 has with Gasol, Bynum, Fisher, Odom, and Artest. Lebron would do just a bit better if he had the Laker line-up in the East i would say. He has no all-stars on that Cleveland roster. Lebron needs a Wade or Bosh and watch him win some Championships! All great teams have 2 great players. The Lakers Kobe and Gasol the Cavs Lebron and who? Look at the Celts Garnett, Rando, Allen and Pierce.

i don't claim that the Celtics will definitely win that series... BUT, i can promise you that this is one guy who you do not want to listen to when it comes times to pick winners in this series... because not one word of what he said is remotely accurate...

I like you, you seem like a good guy overall. I enjoy how you "battle" these noobs on here, don't know how you have the patience. Hell, if you're ever in the LA area...let me know. I'll buy you a drink, a hoe...or both.
With that said, I would like to extend this warning to you as a friend. Do NOT place a series bet on Boston in the finals. It will be a loss soon as you press the "submit" button.
This is the Laker's year. Kobe WILL get his revenge. No chance in hell Kobe will lose again to the same team. Have trust in him, players like him come along maybe once every ten years. We need to recognize destiny when it's right in our face and take advantage of the situation by POUNDING the right side with straight $$$$$...this is what we are born to do man, lay huge cash on circumstances like this!
In their 2008 matchup in the finals, Paul Pierce dominated the Lakers. He's the main reason why they beat LA. However, this time it will be different. Instead of Radmanovich or Walton guarding him, it will be one of the best defensive players in the last 10 years: RON ARTEST. This will be the key matchup and the difference in 2010.

well, Huego... first off, thanks for the compliment... i am not patient with people on these forums, but i am actually an extremely patient person, usually... you would be surprised if you met me...
but i recognize what makes these forums valuable... and the only thing that gets in the way of that is the 80% or so that have no fucking clue what they are doing here... scare off the rabble and maybe we can all get something done around here...
as for the series... don't worry about me... whatever i do bet on the Celtics will be a small portion of my winnings... at the very most 2 units, but most likely one unit, since the Cs will be getting plus money...
i could go into a VERY LENGTHY write-up on the Cs - Lakers series, that involves looking back over the past 30 years of playoff basketball... i will most likely do this before we get to that matchup... but i don't want to do that on Bounty's thread...
suffice to say, i agree with all of your points, especially the point about Artest being a big difference defensively against Pierce... but it will definitely be Boston or nothing for me, and it has nothing to do with any kind of homerism or partiality... i picked the Cs two years ago and the Lakers last year, and i rode both of them like donkeys in the Grand Canyon... there is a reason i like the Celtics, and i when i get a read on a team i go with it...
if i lose, i lose... i am sure by game 2 i will have a pretty good idea whether or not i will win my series bet, and i will find a way to hedge out of part of it if needed...
there are tons of angles in this series... i will break them down at some point...
