I think the answer is now way.  All their games are close over the past few years.  Memphis held Denver to 72 points in their last home win.  Memphis win @ Portland and Clips on a back to back and the Clips were rested.  And it was a thorough thrashing of the clips.  So far i'm laying off and leaning towards the gsw money line.   Every few years we get a real defensive team: the 2004 Pistons, the 2008 Celtics, and this Memphis team bangs and moves.  It's not a coincidence they picked up Tayshon Prince-- starting two great defenders, Prince (2004 Pistons) and Tony Allen (2008 Celtics).  Denver's an offensive jaugernaut.  So this will be a classic offensive team versus a defensive team.  Thoughts appreciated!!!!!!

Denver will win and cover. Two reasons why:

Denver covered all there games lately. they hold and tie the best NBA home record 29-3

The last two meetings are close, but theres a good chance it wont be as close because the previous two meetings memphis had Rudy happy, there leading scorer (had game high both games against denver) is now traded. Also Denver did not have wilson chandler which is a huge X factor. I like denver with slim points, i think they win by 9.

I'm leaning towards Memphis just because they're a defensive team.

Defense always wins against Offense no matter what.

What i'm looking at now is the scary 29 - 3 record at home of Denver. Which is not actually one of a kind, but is one of many things you can actually predict how this kind of game ends.

    Leaning towards Memphis.

But 2 or 3 more consecutive votes from other betters, i'll play with Denver. Same pick? Denver since they're at home.

Will never go against Nuggets at home, as much as I like Memphis and how they grind out teams.

it's the best game on the board.  thanks for the input.  denver is 40-24 against the spread and 29-3 at home.  this game's probably going to fall close to the number.  good luck.  thanks for the insight.  awesome input.

Nuggets thrive on missed shots and turnovers...Memphis have been shooting above 50% their last three games...Buckets = no fast breaks for Corey brewer lay ups...and no NBA JAM dunks for McGee with Gasol in the paint...simply put...nuggets will have to figure out how to play half court offense while Nuggets backers wonder why AI is shooting threes...Memphis +5

i had my bet on nuggets last 6  home games i was sure abt them but today is trcky my mind says grizzlies may cover the spread easily

I Think Not All The Time, DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIP, but not the literal meaning that offense can't win a single game vs. defense..DEN is different, they are special, they are BEAST @ HOME..

This will be very interesting, lets see which one will prevail, DEFENSE or OFFENSE

i think this will be close.  i think, in fact, memphis will win.  but the quote of the day is correct: NEVER BET AGAINST DENVER AT HOME!  go warriors-- no kirk heinrich, thank god.  chicago's record without heinich is 7-14 s/u and 2-8 s/u on the road (though a lot of those games were close; probably 5-5 ats on the road without heinrich.  nate robinson played for gsw last year so he'll be motivated.  but without heinrich (and they banked on rose being back by now) chicago is who we thought they were without rose-- a mediocre team.  home team wins in this series of late.  warriors have two winnable games in their next four and know this one's essential.   glta.

Den is going to win and cover tonight. Mem has been bringing it no doubt. But rare is the team that goes 2-0 at Den n Utah on b2b. I don't care who u are.

Rather than risk losing both, I think Lionel will have his boys come into tonight's game looking ahead to tomorrow. Would u rather take your chances against the Nugs or the Jazz?

But 2 or 3more consecutive votes from other betters, i'll play with Denver. Same pick? Denver since they're at home.

NBA doesn't allow defence to be played. That's why they also don't get that people don't want to watch free throws all night on TV.

I agree. Yet at the same time, I think he rather go in as the 3rd seed, not the 4th. I'm thinking, y would he want to expand too much energy trying to win at Den and risk losing tomorrow also. This is all happenstance. It's y they play the game. But I won't raise an eyebrow if Mem isn't playing full throttle.

your logic is flawless.  it's certainly unclear.  memphis has lost to denver twice.  that's why ithink they want to win.  so there's no psychological edge going into the playoffs.  BUT REGARDLESS I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO SEE IT.  nice discussion.
