The best team don't always win. GS will see defense played on them like they haven't seen throughout the playoff.

If that day ever comes....good god....

to be fair, there have been many worse(in terms of reputation),more derided/criticised players than smith that have happened to land in the rite situation and grab a ring.....stephen jackson with spurs, deshawn stephenson with mavs, antoine walker with heat etc..........funny thing about smith is if he wasnt borderline retarded he has the talent to be a top 15 player in the league, maybe even better, who knows??...if he can stop being an idiot for the next few weeks(big odds against it i know),then he can turn out to be one heck of a wild-card on talent alone, sumthing the cavs are woefully short of with the roster as presently constituted and all the absences/injuries.

scalabrine, living in new york i guess you are well aware that he has always been known as a chronic pot-head??...but did you know that kyrie irving is thought of the same way??heard this from a very good source close to players tho cant verify for certain....he has that sleepy-eyed look that makes you wonder,hehehe..and of course there was that little post game "celebration" with kevin love earlier this season which appeared to show them mimicking putting a joint in the mouth or sumthing silly(which they denied of course)...also kyrie has been injury prone and never appears to get in the chiselled, sleek shape that many of the elite players do..cud be linked to a more lax attitude to training and concentration on "other things"......anyhow,totally off-topic but just chucking it out there.

kyrie has outrageous talent but this puts a ceiling on wat he can achieve obviously.

i did have atl to win the east at 4-1 and 5.5-1 during the brooklyn series and i didnt bet them against the Cavs when they made it there.  I hammered Atl vs washington so I made good money there. I did bet bulls vs Cavs and i still feel it was a solid bet at the time getting 2-1 so no regrets.  Im up a good amount and I will win on GS for this series betting them to win in under 6 games and maybe even a sweep prop.   These playoffs have been very good to me, ATL was very good to me overall these playoffs, IM actually UP in their series vs the cavs in the first quarter bets that i have made on them, and first to 20 and on the UNDER plays that ive made ingame so dont tell me that Im down from betting on atl even in this cavs series.

Yes, first round.  They wouldn't of been a number 2 seed in the West, and frankly they could of been bounced in 2nd round if east if foster didn't 'overlook blatts timeout' in game 4, bulls would of won that game and been up 3-1 in series but that's over and done with... Anyways, if Cavs somehow win the title, it will go fine as one of the biggest upsets in last 15 to 20 years in the NBA finals. Imo it's FOOLS GOLD, to bet them thinking you have value at +220 or whatever their line will be.
You lost me right here.  Cavs much more balanced line up with Love out and Thompson getting more minutes.  Not even close to Pistons beating Lakers as far as upsets go.

To say this is a reach is an understatement, the Bulls are and were a horrid offensive team very capable of losing 3 games in a row.

BOL either way, Curry and LeBron are 2 of a very few players I enjoy watching so either way I will be happy.

Pistons were around +350 vs Lakers 2004

Mavs were +200 vs Miami 2011

    Miami was +150 vs 2012

This will be a lot like 2012. Young gun team smoking teams getting beat by James

James is truly one of the GOATS and he is not losing another title. GS is not ready on this stage just like OKC wasn't.

Regardless the price is exactly what the books want it to be for LBJ to get his Cavs a ring and Barreled in is doing great work by pointing it out

If Kyrie isnt healthy and Cavs win then it will be a major upset otherwise I see GS being a slight fav. If Love was healthy we all know Cleveland would be the favorite but titles arent won on "Ifs". Itll atleast go 6 not sure who wins. Cavs have the best player, Warriors have the deeper team.

Also, the 2011 Dallas Mavs beating the Heat with the best player and arguably 3rd best player was a bigger upset.

I agree with the OP, Cavs have little to no chance to beat the Warriors.

I remember the 2004 Pistons winning the title very well. +500 to win the series and +1000 to win the title prior to the start of the playoffs.

That was a huge upset as far as Vegas odds are concerned, as far as reality is concerned it was not an upset at all, the Piston were the better team by any measure of mathmatical probabilities.

Basketball-reference SRS had Pistons the better team, they had a far better pt margin, my PR's Pistons easily better in both by huge amounts, it's one of those rare cases where because of public perception you can get the better team at an unbelievable price, comes along about once a decade.

I did call on another site the Piston to win the title before the playoffs and I warned everyone that Piston may not just beat the Lakers they could dominate the series.

What people missed about the Pistons was after signing Rasheed Wallace with about 22-23 games left in the season, they dominated the league, even destroying the better teams, they had something around a 15 pt margin of victory, which if maintained over the entire season would be a record, puts in perspective the level they were playing on with Wallace.

The Cavs are not the Piston and the Warriors are light years better then that 2004 Laker team ever dreamed of being.........................

you have got to be kidding, you think Cavs overall are better with Love off the team??  no chance in hell man.. Now you are just talking foolish. Tristan is a good player but with Love on the team and tristan coming off the bench rather than tristan starting and god knows who(sometimes james jones) coming off to give tristan rest.

And your comment about the Bulls is laughable, it is a huge difference to be up 3-1 than 2-2. Yes, bulls could lose 3 in a row but they played Cavs pretty tough until that game, I hightly doubt they lose 3 in a row once they are up 3-1

they sat love in 4 th because he is a liability on D, he spaces floor but he was more or less a decoy in Cleveland this year, the reason he will be a C next year.

I think that's probably exactly how much they may win. I could see the series go the distance simply because alot of players on both teams are NBA finals virgins. The finals stage may even shock some of the Warriors.......but again it's all going to depend on officiating. will the league allow their golden boy Lebron to be beaten by first timer players in Curry & Thompson? or will they allow the series to go on a natural course!
