Not really sure at what point I said the English language was American.  I just said that Americans know that it's "incorrect" not "in correct." And if by arrogance you mean the fact that we stand up for justice and freedom around the world regardless of the consequences that may come from the evil elements of the world rather than be cowards like the French then your right about that bit. I also can't deny that many Americans are sadly ignorant of this country's great history.  But non-americans definitely don't know more about America than us. Don't know where you got that crap from.  You are from Canada though, and maybe Canadians know more about the US because your guys wish you were us so bad.  In any case I heard some fact that most Canadians couldn't even name all the provinces. That's pathetic, there's not even that many, try remembering 50 states buddy.  Thats how we do it down in the    U S A

ITS SOOOOO FUNNY when people like you think I'm the brainwashed one when you're the one throwing around some of the most propaganda ridden garbage I've heard.  USA is far from perfect but i'll take our record over any other country any day. O wait no you're right cuz we've been having a huge problem with Islamic extremists terrorizing the world and we also have huge class problems where the rich live in a new sick guilded age while migrant slave workers build our towers and tend to our houses.  Oh my bad that's the middle East.  But recently we have had a huge problem with racsist violent hooliganism at our Football games, O wait that's Europe and South America.  Nasty Caste system we have here thousands are starving in the streets, nope that's India.  Tyranny, communism anybody?  Oh no that's China North Korea Iran...Suicide rates out of control though, wow! again I'm wrong that's Northern Europe and Japan.  I can do this all day brother lay down and admit defeat or I'll write another thread about all the great things USA.

Yeh obviously seinfeld and curb are the best...but let's be honest here two and a half man was not a bad show when Charlie Sheen was on it.  And everybody hates on Big Bang Theory but I tell my friends this all the time: just give it a shot, it's not that bad.

In what instance have we told other people how to live?  In the USA we are free, and the only "people" who we have told how to live are dictators, in that we've told them to let their people be free.  It's the people in the middle east who want to tell everybody how to live and what we can and can't say.  Iraq was a mistake, but do you know what a big reason why we did it was? To take out a brutal dictator and to try to establish a democracy in a region that is a cesspool.  We went to Afghanistan because of 9/11, you mess with us we come back at ya tenfold.  I will never apologize for that. We don't apologize to terrorists and pretend that we started it and it's our fault like they do in Europe.  We take the scumbugs out! And as for Europe, how exactly have we forced other people into our way of life and strong armed them? Are you referring to WWII? my bad we should have just let Hitler have whatever he wanted like the English, or just rolled over like the French.  O wait that's right we saved your fools! And if Putin gets out of control and decides he wants Europe who do you think they'll come running to? USA THE BEACON OF ALL THAT IS GOOD AND FREE IN THE WORLD.  And lastly are we pushing our culture on everybody.  I live in New York which is lousy with foreign tourists from every corner of the globe gobbling up as much Abercrombie and Fitch as they can get their filthy hands on.

In all seriousness, we have also paid a heavy price for 9/11. The police protestors have it right. Ever since 9/11 we have lost some of our freedom. You could go anywhere you wanted in teh US back then, now you have to be searched to board an airplane can be stopped for anything on the road, can be searched at police discretion (almost)

How did we go from bashing Scal to bashing the USA? I can't stick up for Scal but I can certainly stick up for the USA. Most people in other countries cannot imagine the amount of personal freedom we have. The right to take a risk and make it big or crash and burn. People do both here. I mean, America saved a lot of peoples lives in our history and we have certainly taken a lot. But as was said before, we don't love anything other than money. We have the number ONE economy on the world and that's all that really matter. MOST people want to live here. As many problems as we have, it is still better than any country in the world. And I have a very good friend who is Canadian and he kind of agrees with me. So let's get off the USA bashing and pick some winner. MMMkkkkkkkkkkkk,

yup -- we are not even close to the richest country in the world, we have a huuuuuuge number of people below the poverty line, every city in the country that's below or on the mason dixon line is inundated with homeless people, I live in DC and let me tell you, you can't go 3 blocks without being hounded for change. I've "adopted" two people who i give all my loose change to. I'm one step away from them at all times. You can't find a job unless you have the maddest of skills.

Lets face it, there is a kernel of truth in everything, US foreign policy just HAPPENED to unlock the wildly profitable cocaine trade in south america, protect the poppy growers in afghanistan, and drove down the price of oil.

We aren't angels of mercy but we ain't the devil either. We are a little bit of everything but still the best place to live in the world. Not even close.

We are the cool kids in the class that everyone wants to emulate and the brits are the nerdy wallflower kids

we are proud of the constitution because those guys just happened to get it right. That document is 250 years old and it will probably still be relevant for another 250 at least. That is longer than the roman empire lasted.

We got lucky too, we have a huge country boarded by thousands of miles of coastline and a vast wilderness to the north. We are naturally isolated with huge land space and abundant natural resources. If you were born here you got lucky
