Bottom line people are just mad that a young black male is getting paid while not playing while they bust their butts for 8 hours a day and wont see in a lifetime what he makes in a week, get over it.

That's not what I said. I said that he looked good to go in part of the video and not good to go in other parts. You asked in what part he looked good, so I told you.  The argument for why he is ready to play in the NBA is because some of the country's best doctors said he was ready months ago, he has been playing full court games in practice, he can dunk, and he can shoot. The issue isn't whether he will be as good as he was before the injury.  It's whether he can safely play.  It will take time playing to be as good as he was before the injury.

haha. I have no problem with him getting paid at all. I have never brought that up, so I hope you would exclude me from "people." Also, him being black has nothing to do with it. I don't think anybody has ever mentioned that in this thread until you did.

Chuck and Shaq ripping him up good on the pregame....This guy might be the biggest box in professional sports all time... I honestly cant think of any worst

Neither can I. The most damning thing is Shumpert who had the same injury the same day and has been playing for 2 months. Yes, I know people are different physically  but that's a strong benchmark for Rose being weak. His teammates must be so sick of him. I really hope the Nets win tonight just so this will end.

Yet Kenny is in agreement with Rose's decision. Kenny explained that many times he was cleared to play by doctors and he knew he wasnt ready to go. Yes Deem I exclude you from what I said, but it seems that is the threadstarters view. Id never pass judgement on a guy who I visibly can see isnt ready to play nevermind this is an MVP and he played with as much intensity and heart as anybody in the NBA when healthy.

Speaking of his teammates, my respect for Noah, Robinson, and Deng has gone up a lot for what they've been playing through.

How can you compare Rose to Shumpert. Different people, different categories, different tax brackets. Did you not just see Taj Gibson come back too soon and get reinjured all over again. Did you not see Rose himself come back too soon last year and get injured, Im sure the Bulls saw that and also see he's not ready in practice and thats why they agree with his decision. Numerous athletes came back too soon because of pressure or desire to play, but its not sensible to do so, from Penny Hardaway to Bill Walton to RGIII, the list goes on and on.

I understand. It's pretty disappointing because the Bulls with Rose would be fun to watch play the Heat again. I still think I'd rather see the Bulls pull this out tonight.

As a Chicagoan, I can tell you that this topic has dominated the airwaves for months.  I can also tell you that Bulls' insiders are questioning Rose's motives just as much as the general public.  Rose has been balling in practice since February but continues to ignore the final stage of his rehab set forth by team doctors which includes gradually working himself into game situation.  It has also been conclusively determined that he is at no risk of reinjuring his ACL any more than any other athlete.  Bottom line - he's 100% physically healthy but his brother and BJ Armstrong have an agenda which nobody can figure out.  Finally, the Brandon Roy example is comical as I can cite to Adrian Peterson for a more accurate comparison.

Really? Adrian Peterson? First off you cant compare two people in no way shape or form. Peterson's doctor who Im all too familiar with who practices where I live, whose considered the best in the business said Peterson and Bo Jackson were the only two people he's seen heal as quickly as they did, he said its totally not normal. Makes sense, Peterson went on to have one of the most prestigious rushing seasons in NFL history. So how many people like Peterson and Jackson can you name, Im guessing those are the only two. Again if Rose came back say at the final week of the regular season, got reinjured again, then what would you be saying? No doubt youd say that idiot should have stayed out longer.

I've said it before and I'll say it all over again...

ANYONE WHO DEFENDS THIS GUY IS A FREAKING MORON

Athletes in kind of sports tear their ACL, break their arms, legs, etc and they all come back the minute they are cleared by Doctors. That's what they get paid to do. The case with Rose is absolutely bizarre! He's more than 100% healthy.

He should have at least give it a try in the last few games of the regular season. If he doesn't feel right, then fine, at least he tried. At the moment, he is not even willing to try.

Ricky Rubio suffered a similar injury, he too slowly eased himself back into the game.

yeah whoever mentioned karma being a biatch and the teammates quitting on DRose is absolutely insane...."When" he is playing, the guy plays like DWade in his heyday, never takes one possession off for anything...he leaves every thing out on the floor, every single time he plays...DRose could play this one game, still lose and re-injure himself and never be able to play again...after working all this time to come back...that makes no sense to me....too much of a risk in my mind and plus he would have have no synchronism with his teammates because he has been out for so long...

Totally agree and thats all Im saying. You cant look at this from a selfish fan's point of view who wants to be entertained by Rose's athletic ability,you gotta look at it from Rose's view and his situation.

I disagree with the way DRose has gone about his rehab process....and disagree with the way he has been acting about coming back and playing.....but after being gone this long, to come back simply for possibly one game, only because it is "game 7" seems ludacris....I understand how the fans feel and everyone else, and by the standard of how his injury is right now, I feel like he should be playing.....but if that was the case, he should have started game 1 in this series....but to now come back simply because it is game 7....doesn't make sense to me.....One thing I do know though, from watching him at Memphis and every game in the NBA I can't really question the heart that Rose plays with.....

No not on welfare. Noah has plantar fascitiis, Ive had that before and played pickup basketball with it. Was Gibson smart to come back when he did? Doubt before I even mentioned it you even knew about that, you just want to hate on Rose.

that Derrick would not play this season.

Derrick Rose is a liar - giving people all that crap about possibility of playing. I am sure he is rooting for Nets right now.
If he was a man he would have said that he won't play this season, not accept his salary.
He should stop pretending that he cares - jumping behind Bulls bench like a clown.
