not sure about this, but isn't there supposed to be a violation when a team is missing a player during a freethrow/rebound situation?

That freethrow situation is a legal move. In College teams rallies during freethrows and make use of this as a "free time out".

What happened with the Wilson play is just plain luck. There were two SMC players and it bounced well enough to go back to Wilson. I guess not having a 3rd player there hurts. The third one's role there is to box out the outside players including the freethrow shooter.

when did this thing with the fts start? where the offensive teammwont even leave players in the ft area when someone is taking a ft?

just this conference right??

cant remember a time it happened

The only violation is when you step in too early during a freethrow shot. It is also legal to tap the ball out given it is clearly not under the ring.

i think what the coaches are doing is pretty stupid but thats just me. hahaha
