Was at work chompin at the bit to get home to make my pick since my laptop died...  11-3 in last 4 nights - looking to keep it going.. (short write-up)
 
I think most of us are in agreement that Denver is the more talented team playing better at the right time.  However, lets look at the trends in the HOME games for LAL -
 
Game 1 - Lakers win 105-103
>Nuggets shot 49% FG, 42% 3pt, and 37 boards while taking a +6 fast break differential.  (Lakers Bench - 27pts / Denver Bench - 16pts)
Game 2 - Nuggets win 106-103
>Nuggets shot 44% FG, 33% 3pt, and 42 boards while giving -14 points in the paint to the LAL.  (Lakers Bench - 22pts / Denver bench - 21pts)
 
I think the Lakers are tired but Kobe will carry the team.  With the recent updates to injuries to Odem's back and Fisher's age (LOL),  should contribute to a low scoring game but a LAL win to force a 7 game series.  Also, Denver is playing GREAT basketball right now and they are the more physical team.  Letting it ride on Denver (aka CASH COW) and putting my streak on the line of 11-3 in last 4 nights...

GL guys/gals...  Let's hope the DENVER faithful are on the right side...  Saw the stat just before tip where Melo plays completely differently at the Staples Center vs. at Home in this series.  Hope he breaks out and Billups stays aggressive...

Great start - felt the short time to prepare this afternoon on this one 1Q pick was risky - but 1u isn't anything to worry about - hopefully no one tailed and bet the house payment on it!
 
Feel good about Denver though..  They look good!!  I think Kobe had 1 bucket and 2 FT????  Wow...  UNDER tracking okay at this point (50pts in 1Q).

I was waiting for your post before I made my bet but kinda ran out of time. Good thing we still have the same picks! BOL

Hopefully they follow that 62 point quarter with a 40 something one.

Just don't see much out of LAL tonight - where's Kobe? - and after 2 Qtrs - it's a tie game.  No one should think LAL will win this game by more than a point or two, which means Denver is likely to cover the 4pts.   Yes, Billups is in foul trouble but he's a smart PG and will manage that for the 2H. 
 
LA shooting 46% to Denver's 48% but the bigger stat is 3pt shooting (DENVER 44% to LAL 12%) - this doesn't help the Laker faithful.  Also, LAL getting out-rebounded by 4, which means despite having the twin towers out there in Bynum and Gasol - they still can't rebound the ball..
 
More of Denver in the 2nd half....

Bad night - blame my lack of preperation - won't happen again!  Chased the 2nd half - bad call.  My initial lean yesterday was LAL - just thought Den had enough and looked okay for most of the game until the 4qt..  Oh well - that's the breaks.  Tomorrow is another day.  Streak stands at 12-6 last 5 nights...

Lastly, I will tell you my early look is ORLANDO +8   I just don't see Cleveland beating them convincengly unless the books know something about Orlando giving up with the notion that they can win it back at home!!!  I'm tempted to pick Cleveland - but 4 games and a 3-1 lead for Orlando have obviously showed us something - that Cleveland lacks a bench and other pure scorers throughout the game aside from Lebron!

Jolibog - no worries man - sorry for making it tight on time..  Didn't feel good with my prep and ironically enough felt LAL initially (early lean last night) but wanted to ride the cash cow as I still think we had the right side with Denver. 
 
We'll come back at it tomorrow..  Large write-up pending tomorrow - think ORLANDO +8 at the moment.  Too large for Lebron and Company to beat.  Orlando will not back down and Clev hasn't covered a large spread in this series so why start now down 1-3...  They might win - but not by 8...  I'm not drunk either!
