Clippers look very distracted early. They will still win the series but it might take 6 or even 7….With that being said a 16 pt lead in a game between these two is nothing

Lol you sound like those people who make excuses when they lose, don't acknowledge when they get lucky cuz they really don't know what's going on in the game. Heck, half your posts are either about ref assignments and what the ulterior motive of Adam Silver. I think you rarely bet and that's only cuz volume just kills you.. you've been juiced over this regular season and are now under confident in yourself. With that said, I mean no hate, just giving you food for thought. Can hate me, the plant, the bookies, your Clippers, but can't run from the fact that you're in the losers mindset as scal pointed out earlier.

You are dead wrong on that one. I'm the guy who talks about luck all the time, mostly bad of course, but everyone else here pretends they are geniuses when they get a bounce or two go their way. As far as the NBA having an agenda, only a fool would deny it. It has been going on for years. Warriors/Clips are the 2nd highest rated series (all of CA is watching) you don't think they'd like it to go 6 or 7? Blame? To say the Clippers came out flat but played a good 2nd half is to acknowledge that I was wrong and that the Sterling thing affected them. Had they played the first half like the 2nd I have no doubt they would have had a great chance to win, regardless of how hungry the warriors were or how the officials were calling the game.

Scal and BB: obviously i'm writing after the fact. I bet the warriors today because 1) their back was against the wall and clips, no matter how much better they are, have a difficult time playing at golden state-- similar to indiana having a tough time in atlanta. and, this donald sterling issue is as big as ROSA PARKS. these young clipper african american players were faced with a difficult decision whether to play the game or not. jeff van gundy suggested before the game they sit the first 15 minutes. instead, instead of standing up to racial injustice like Rosa Parks did for them, they took off their jerseys and played for the white man. And they played without any effort; especially Deandre Jordan, who probably is the most thoughtful guy on the team as displayed by his lackluster effort. Maybe i'm wrong. so bet the clips in game six. but you be backing bull conner and barking german shepherds, and water hoses and a few german boxcars heading to concentration camps. let's see cliff paul explain that.

Yes, you are right. I was bothered by the fact that even with the Clippers horrible play (mostly in the 1st half) the officials were favoring the Warriors on the 50/50 calls in the 2nd half. The Clips made several runs to get within single digits only to have a call go against them. After the game I looked to see which were the highest rated playoff series and the Clippers/Warriors was right up there. This is one the league's favorite 1st round series and they'll make sure to squeeze every dollar out of it despite the Sterling controversy.

warriors 15-32 from three. previous three games the clips had energy to get out to three. they were drained from answering national media questions to which even barak obama 7000 miles away had to address. labron had to address. kobe had to address. enjoy your head in the sand. this is the oddest thing to hit the nba since ron artest went up into the stands.

Hey Stevenp, I wrote in another thread that I believe the biggest challenge for these guys is dealing with how others will judge their actions from here on out. Unless these guys have had their head in the sand for the past several years they know that their owner either is a racist, and/or at least has been accused of racism. So I really don't think this is knew. What's knew is that now they are caught in the spotlight. Everyone wanted to know what they would do, so their focus was not on basketball, but rather, on how to represent themselves as basketball players who happen to play for a racist owner. Should they go all out and win? Should they boycott the game? Should they give a half-hearted effort? etc, etc
I was foolish enough to believe doc when he said that their play would be their protest (but he meant it as, they would play their hardest). And I think, in the 2nd half, they did. Of course, now, all of a sudden, Doc is talking about maybe not returning next year. Does that mean he doesn't give a crap and is throwing in the towel or does it mean that he is all in to win this year and is not thinking about the future? Personally, I think the Clips will come out with a lot of fire the next game. And I actually think most casual fans don't see the players as villains but as victims, who are stuck in a very bad situation.
