the thing with lidge is that if he doesn't have control of his slider he gets behind in the count and then has to serve one up...then the batters just sit fastball...if he has control he is nasty...but thats when he has control

Biggest reason for the Phils and Hamels being a slight favorite is that Hamels doesn't pitch well during the day. If I recall he's 0-6 this year in day games.
Also, Wild card teams usually fare well in the early 5 game series. As a huge Philly fan,I've watched this team all year and with all their back end BPen problems ( No Romero, Condrey, and Myers ) much of the year and Lidge's struggles this team still won 1 more game than last year. If Rollins and Utley pick it up and especially Rollins this team will be a tough out once again. Werth and Feliz have quietly this year been this teams unsong heroes.
And of course, there's the BABE, Ryan Howard. I'll not be betting the 1st game. But, I have future plays I Placed in April for the Phils to win NL and World Series. Also, have the Yanks at 95 paying 350 to win the Series. I'd love to see a Yanks-Phils Series.

Are you really calling Ryan Howard.... The BABE??? I think Ryan Howard is a great player... but come on!! The real BABE's career Avg is above .340 thats almost .70 higher and he never struck out more than 100x in a season, I dont think Howard has under 150ks in a season yet...
