That Yankees game started giving me fever dreams, and when that happens I’m not forcing a square peg through a round hole. I get the Hudson/Burke setup, and I understand the Yankees case, but there are too many moving parts for me.

Philly is the cleaner look. Fair home price, better lineup, and a veteran arm in Nola who I trust to be good enough in this spot

The Phillies have a solid bullpen, but they’re a little taxed right now, so we need Nola to give them some length today. If he can work into the 6th or 7th and hand it over clean, we should be in good shape.

I mean, what should the line be? I think the number is pretty much exactly where it belongs. With Nola’s current form, this was never going to be Phillies -150, and the total sitting at 10 tells you the market isn’t treating either starter like a shutdown guy.

So at -120, I’m fine with it. Fair price, home team, better lineup. That’s the play.
