There's an old adage that runs through some of the bettors I know, and many believe the early games go under. The problem is that, that is a bet in itself, and some of the relief pitchers are just terrible. They can't find the strike zone. Yesterday the same thing happened in the Pirates AZ game but this time Arizona bombed! The match up of Galen vs Skenes looked like it screamed under. 10 - 1 Pirates.

Will be back in a bit.   Been on such a hot streak is felt i could slide this in and it didn't happen.

On to the next one. Not gonna force so if i have something for the last 4 games I will play if not I will start tomorrow's thread 

Good luck.  Maybe back Wheeler in game 2 he has been really good vs. the Braves lifetime and Sale has struggled a bit.  You can't win them all, you know that, so I'm sure nobody will blame you if you sat out and regrouped for a big Friday.

Two bullpens that absolutely suck as a rule. Dbacks and Phillies.

Phillies also just used their best relief pitchers in Gm1. Keep in mind for the 2nd game.

No, the Braves starter who has been great only threw 2.2 innings.  Really tough b/c he heard a "pop" in his elbow.  The Braves have made a mess of all their highly ranked starter prospects and this could be yet another example.  Regardless, I am pretty confident had he gone 5-6 the game would have remained UNDER.  Runs came directly after he exited.

And the bullpens are of course a huge problem.  Part of this is b/c the relief guys now get paid so much and specialize in just that whereas years back the bullpen was comprised of mostly wily veterans who knew how to get people out with junk, not just throwing gas.  With better, stronger hitters, expect a plethora of games to be won and lost in the bullpen innings especially as some of these guys refuse to push their limits to avoid potential injuries leaving managers with little choice but to need to lean on young and unproven arms or guys who are just not very good.
