and to answer your naive question, if I am fortunate enough to have the series go to Game 5, I can play, say 6 units on the DBacks and lay approximately -120 is my guess.....therefore if the Cubs win, I will win only 2.8 units (10 - 7.2) and if the Cubs lose I lose about 6 units (12 - 6)...not a great position but I can reduce my exposure if I feel so inclined.

with all due respect gamedude. that cubs writeup was awesome. you layed 10 grand on it.
but that call sucked. you, and i and a lot of others are going down. it taught me you can't cap baseball with huge writeups like a college essay. matchups are not tet for tet. it/s a game of passion and drive. arizona has it now.

I put money on the series after your thread, But guess what -games and series' dont always go the way we predict or lean. This is gambling, Nobody has a crystal ball. These haters need to cap for themselves and not bitch at you or anyone else if they pull the trigger after reading some advice. Give me a break and keep up the good work!!

Thanks for the good words most of you.....heck, with the line so inflated at Wrigley, I could make small hedges even in Game 3 and probably get +180 on the Dbacks at game time and in Game 4, I could probably get +200 or more against Zambrano.....I am sure I won't do anything in Game 3, but there are definitely mechanisms available to reduce risk for anyone that wants...u certainly can't reduce most risk, but you can mitigate.
