Go Cougs-
Let's stop acting like the series is over. The Cubs have to win 1 out of the first 2 to gain homefield advantage. That's the goal. They faced one of the top 5 pitchers in baseball last night and were in the game the whole way. Zambrano was just as tough as Webb. Yesterday was a must win game for the Dbacks. Today is a must win game for the Cubs. Give the DBacks credit. They are scrappy and play solid fundamentally but now they must overcome pitchign disadvantages the next 3 games. The Cubs had more scroing opportunities yesterday and hit a lot balls right on the button but just at people. It wasn't a bad effort. Marmol made a couple of mistakes. Howry looked untouchable. No doubt there is pressure tonight but Davis was really struggling his last few starts and the DBacks offense is still using guys like Ojeda, Salazr and Clark who will not produce on a consistent basis. Let's see what happens tonight. If the Cubs win tonight, suddenly they will be favored more than -120 to win the series. If they lose, its' big trouble.

Nothing totally shocked me. I was slightly surprised that Piniellla did not pinch hit for Zambrano with the bases loaded in the 6th. If he knew he was only going to throw one more inning then maybe you pinch hit for him there. Yes, he hit the ball hard the first two times up but you knew Webb would pitch him differently and a new hitter like Ward would have to be pitched to carefully.....it was a good game....I expect Soriano and Ramorez to be a lot more effective against Davis and Hernandez

100 units would've been an incredible season for me....if you can tell me I will end up +50-75 units in basketball right now, let me know where I can sign up...my goal is to make money...there are no guarantees anyone will even make a dollar....heck, I am usually a good CFB capper but I am 6 games under .500 this season and down solid coin....a lot of cappers I respect are getting their panties soiled in CFB and the NFL this year and I am one of them...this is the first year I have partcipated in a posting forum and baseball was the first time I kept a record religioulsy....
Holy Bull-
Always good to see you....Bredders Cup only a few weeks away...I will be punching my Pick 6 ticket for sure.....I do not understand the Yanks line for the reasons set forth in my other thread....it makes no sense especially against Sabathis and with their power lefties.
BRABO-
Hang in there....I may have bene your go to guy for boxing in the hey days of Norton, Ali, Frazier and Norton but I have no opinion on that fight.....I was also a 95% capper in Bruno Sammartino fights.![]()

Geez...feel free to stay away from my threads....in my opinion, a posting forum like this is to share information and analysis...I could just as easily just said I was playing the Cubs for 10 units with no writeup and it would've taken 30 seconds to post...a thread is not necessarily an invitation to just listen to any poster and take it as God's word...I take the time to share information. Heck, you can read my information and interpret it differently...maybe it will lead you to a total play on a game against or for a pitcher rather than a side...maybe it will give you reasons to play the other side and you can disagree....maybe it will reinforce what you were already thinking....regardless, the information is thought provoking and helps you formulate your own opinion and nobody has a gun to your head to agree or disagree...your metaphor about a college essay is stupid...with regard to essays, there are typically right or wrong answers and when you are wirting an essay, you response is grounded in historical facts that typically hold the underlying answer and result so you know if you are right on....in doing what I and many others do here, there is no way of knowing as you are writing here whehter you have the right answer and it will only be judged by external forces after the game...however, people who post here, particularly people who post regualrly, subject themselves to ridicule on every selection as we will be openly judged after the results are in...from your post, maybe you would prefer that people like me either do not post or do not spend time sharing research for other to debate....heck, maybe we should just shutdown the entire forum and Covers should just go away become a political debate forum....
secondly, yes, maybe I will end up on the wrong side as it doesn't look good right now.....but hell, you act like the Cubs have been eliminated. It's 2-0 and they do get 2 home games now. Yes, maybe they will lose Saturday. If the Cubs win Satuday, I can even hedge a bit in Game 4 by playing the DBacks. If it goes to a Game 5, I can hedge a larger amount and mitigate some of the damage or reduce the potential amount of profit.
Posts like yours are very unproductive. What's the sense? Does it make you feel better blaming me because you bet on the Cubs and are down 2-0. By the way, are you going to send me a percentage of your winnings if the Cubs win the series? The answer is obviously NO, so then STFU and be a man!

actually I lost 0.28 units on the day and my bankroll isquite a bit larger than 2.8 units.....but I am down in the Cubs series 2-0....as long as the Indians can win 1 of the next 3 games, I will be in a safe position come Game 5 in that series.
