Pitching is such an odd thing year to year for many pitchers. Last year Trevor Rogers was Greg Maddux and this year a can of crap. Last year Mr Spahghetti for the Astros was just a pitcher and so far this year Greg Maddux. History is littered with guys like RA Dickey and Estaban Loaiza. Sometimes a young pitcher struggles early and then gets it together and you dont know it for a couple years but sometimes its just your average or less guy who has a Cy Young year. Some years a pitcher is unbeatable on the road then next year sucks on the road and is unhittable at home. Pitching is the ultimate who knows. This applies to dominant guys in the regular season who cant seem to be anywhere near that in the playoffs and average guys who seem to be clutch.
