I hit the Bad Beat Jackpot when I was only 18 (6 years ago) and I convinced the Floorman that I was over 21. They paid me 14g's since I was the looser.

I was going to read some books on it, but I don't know which to choose.

Open: Pirates -160; Cubs +150 Current: Pirates -127; Cubs +117 Public betting %: 81% on Pirates
For the second straight day, the public is all over the host Pirates
while the smart money is on the Cubs. I’ll almost always say there’s no
such thing as smart money backing the Cubs, but even I can admit they
were far undervalued at +150.
To me, this is a classic case of perception versus reality.
Perception: Paul Maholm dominates the Cubs. In 15 career outings,
he’s 8-2 against them, and this year, in two previous outings, he’s
pitched 15 2/3 scoreless innings.
Reality: Maholm has a 5.30 ERA against the Cubs all time.
That’s not to take any credit away from Maholm, who has pitched
brilliantly this year despite a poor won-loss record. But there are a
few batters in the Cubs’ lineup — primarily, Alfonso Soriano (8-for-28, 4
HR’s prior to ’11) and Aramis Ramirez (10-for-30, 2 HR) — who have hit
him well in the past. And the Cubs have been swinging the bats better as
of late, posting 19 runs in the last three games.
Sharps are banking on the Cubs tagging Maholm today for the first
time in three games and took the extra value. It’s a risk worth taking
even with 38-year-old Ramon Ortiz (0-1, 3.00 ERA) on the mound, who is
making just his second start of the season.

The line is falling drastically.
Thanks for the information.

Damn I just had a lengthy write up for the Braves and Phillies match up. Anyway to keep it short Braves have a chance to win the series today. They had a great late inning win yesterday. Braves have been hitting their stride before the break. Lowe is a better pitcher on the road and in the day. Hes a career 3ERA vs Phi. His last outing v Phi he threw 6 allowed 2 hits 1bb and 4ks. Hamels numbers look very good over the last few months. His competition has been below average, the Bos as an exception in which he only threw 4. Lowe hasn't crossed the 100 pitch mark in awhile so he should be fresh today. Braves get better as the series goes, Phi seems to be a bit average during the 3rd game. Braves ML +160
Soccer is fixed! USA is getting worked by the refs!

Lets face it, if the US makes the women's finals I would think the World Cup would lose business. Brazil I would assume is a money maker for this event. I am no soccer fan, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize whats going on in this match up. A yellow card on a PK and a red card to lose a player for the US. They spent too much on marketing the "next Pele" to have Brazil get beat.

Germany would be in the Finals if this were the case.
