D-Backs starter Brandon Pfaadt actually did a great job in overcoming the lousy defense behind him. Pavin Smith showed his inexperience playing 1st base by failing to get his body in front of a hard hit grounder, opting for the backhand attempt instead and whiffing. Then Gerardo Perdomo straight up booted a tailor-made double play ball.

Pfaadt grew disgusted by all this and decided to strike out the side.

The Mets made an unwise decision to allow Paul Blackburn to resume pitching following a rain delay of an hour and a half. Blackburn then proceeded to give up five straight hard hit singles before leaving in shame.

 I thought the same.  Hopefully Pirates Bull Pen will blow it. 

The D-Backs bullpen certainly blew it.

l had no faith that they would tie it up. The D-Backs thought they had this game won after the Marte sac fly in the 6th made it 7-3. That’s when their offense went to sleep. The offense went to sleep and suffered from blurry vision once they tried to awaken to bat in the bottom of the 9th. 

No surprise they went quietly in the 10th, too. These D-Backs are a bunch of (can’t say it unless l wanna spend time in the Box).
