Despite the massive amount of bad info on this board about the kid....Cecil is a sinker/fastball type pitcher who has pinpoin precision of his fastball and a sinker that has stunned many coaches. His change up is god awful & he was sent to Triple A to improve that pitch. Teams knew that. Teams knew he was going to throw it almost once per at bat and they've been teeing off on it. He will not be throwing that pitch today.
All that being said, I don't think there's all that much out there in this game that I would consider to be a safe bet or even a good bet. Too much chalk on a rookie making his ML debut & Reyes is too rocky to back. Could be an easy over. Could be an 8-1 final. Too many variables in this one.
Revenge, hey how do you feel about the mariners over 7 1/2?That was my first thought but after doing some research on Bedard, I think he may toss a gem today - only way over 7.5 hits is if the Mariners but up 6 or 7 so may as well just play the team total. Just my opinion.
