dude I got talked out of it by all the guys who said it was a trap. I still won luckily. But still kinda sucks.

Nice hit Clutch!!   Almost everyone focuses on the starting pitcher, who rarely go more than 6 or 7 innings. Bullpens almost always decide the outcomes nowadays.

I thought about what I wrote in this thread last night and couldn't help but notice how I avoided the touchy subject of the serious mismatch in relief pitching in this series.  So, I made my 5.5 unit donation on Washington in the first innings, a one-run loss that I don't regret.
 
 
I figured that today I would see almost everyone automatically including Boston on their cards, but that wasn't really the case.  Numerous posters, not just here on Covers, mentioned that "the line looks fishy", etc.  Even some of the usual mushes seemed reluctant to make the play on the Red Sox for this reason.  That reluctance made me think "Hmm....", which led me to go for the first 5 innings only.  I would have buried myself further if I could have gotten Washington +120 or better, but that was just out of reach, fortunately for me.

Bator, you dont need to explain yourself man,  we know your a solid capper ,   no one is 70% ,   you bring insight, and your leans and plays, are ones i always feel comfortable with.. i also started with a wash lean and then as the day went on , i changed it (check mikenyc thread for that) (and here for my inital wash lean) ,  you also backed off some,, but a play for wash was plausible .

Bator I refuse to overthink when betting against the Nats....2morrow I "might" lay off of the Sox because I believe Stammen "might" be due for a decent Home start. He sucks at home but I know this is what the books wants the bettor to think. That and the fact the RL is -120...have me not wanting any parts of this game. I mean -120 on a -180 road fav....makes you think...shouldnt it be around even to +110....or is Vegas softening the blow of another Sox rout
