Interestingly, Batista's last 6 appearances have all been in relief.  His last start came on the fateful night of August 4th, when he faced these same Twins at home and left the mound in shame after just 3 innings with his team buried by a 6-0 deficit.  That was the game where God himself decided to remind us all that he can determine the outcome of sporting events any time he feels like it because the Mariners, incredibly, scored TEN runs in the bottom of the 7th and beat the Twins, 11-6.  The Twins were so dazed by the defeat they let the Mariners beat them the next night, too, 8-7.  So while betting against Miguel Batista gives any bettor a  huge advantage, be careful because God might not be on your side.
