Judging a player on strikeouts these days is laughable.....strikeouts are much higher than before with more emphasis on power and average velocity being much higher across the board....u have sixth inning relievers throwing 99 with wicked sliders or splitters.....also worth noting the MVP Aaron Judge struck out at a higher rate last year....granted he hit 100 points higher....but you are correct as far as Trout being overrated some...his recent years have been mediocre for sure....he is not to force he was for many years when he was a consistent .300 hitter with power and a real force in the game....injuries have no doubt hurt him....be nice to see him stay healthy and return closer to that old form......good luck on your strikeout bets...how many units of profit did u make last year ? Obviously plenty of pushes and when u lost it was at minus 400 and 500 type of odds....just curious.....do you make the strikeout bet on any other high strikeout guys ? Good luck this season....
Judge struck out 160 times and had more plate appearances....so not a higher rate than Trout...but pretty high...but when you hit .330 with a ton of homers its obviously meaningless......the MVP in the National league struck out 187 times...but had even more plate appearances than Judge...but again with the crazy production of those guys nobody should care.....would be nice to see Trout be more like the player he was years ago when the average and power numbers were outstanding...but we may never see that level again.

The strike out odds changed throughout the year. At the beginning of last year it was practically even money for a while because Vegas still loved Trout, they didn't realize he sucked just yet. But I knew he did from the past 6 seasons. When he started striking out at enormously high rate because he sucks, then the odds changed. And this year they started out High, because everyone knows he strikes out and he sucks. 106 hits, 178 k's .230 avg. Last year. And trust me, this year he'll have the same numbers. Just let it play out

Yes, judge numbers are irrelevant because he's a winner and a leader. Two things trout has never been and won't ever be. Like I have said for many years. Mike Trout is the most OVERRATED athlete to every put on a uniform in any sport at any level. His fans and the media thinks he's great? Yet he can't win one playoff game, or much let's get there. 0 division titles, playoff wins, batting titles, home run titles, gold gloves. And if he played in the 90s, he would have 0 silver sluggers and 0 MVP's
While Trout is not what he used to be in recent years.....hard to say Judge is a winner and a leader and Trout isn't.....neither has a title which is irrelevant in baseball......many many great players don't have World Series titles...like Ted Williams..Rod Carew...Barry Bonds...and many others...obviously it's a team game....Trout can't pitch and hit for other guys during his great years with the Angels.....from all indications Trout is a great teammate and it would be nice to see him traded to a contender if he can stay healthy........but you are correct for sure in saying he is overrated at this point with his performance in recent years...injuries have really hurt him.....I wonder if some of the other free swingers would be worth betting the strikeout bets on ? Have u considered or tracked other players or is this a Trout only deal?

No, I only play trout. I really hadn't looked at other guys. And I'll say what I always say. Trout is a good dude, probably a good teammate. But he doesn't care about baseball or being a leader. If you did, he would have asked to be traded years ago. He's been stealing money from my angels organization for years. I don't have a problem with Mike Trout. It's his fans and the media who think he's great. And he's nowhere near greatness. You said it would be nice if he got traded to another team. That won't happen because nobody wants him on their team. Even his hometown Phillies don't want him. They wanted Harrison Bader, which was hilarious. It's hilarious how the media and fans claims he has great speed and tracks down every fly ball in centerfield. YET, HE HAS NO GOLD GLOVES. That's just one example of his fans being idiots. For what it's worth I won't be posting all year like I did last year. We all know the routine. Trout, if he plays, will again strikeout over 175 times again. And I will be cashing in. But of course, I will come here every now and then and make fun of trout because that's what I do. And I do it because it pisses off his fans. Hope you make a lot regardless of who or what you are betting on. But your take on Trout is laughable. Without a doubt the best player in MLB from 2012-2020. He could have retired at 26 and been a hall of famer. His WAR is way higher than griffey jr and dimaggio. You say the angels are stealing money, just a horrible take. Trout in first three years made 490k, 510k and 1 million. This guy finished 1 or 2 in mvp voting in 7 of his first 9 seasons. By age 31 he was 1 of only 4 to have 300 doubles, 300 home runs and 200 stolen bases. The angels got the bargain of a lifetime. He may strike out more often then in the past, but the whole league does.

You say the whole league strikes out more. I love it when people say this when they're trying to explain why Mike Trout strikes out. Well, Manny Machado doesn't see it like that. He played 30 more games, and struck out 40 times less. Read that again. So obviously the whole league isn't striking out more.
