Jack Leiter will give them a decent five innings
if he lands his fastball early and avoids walks, he can definitely keep Texas in the game.

I’m on the D-Backs -102 to win 8 units and -1.5 +190 risking 7 units.

In the bottom of the 2nd inning, the D-Backs’ Gabriel Moreno hit a drive to left that had Mets starter Clay Holmes turning and putting his glove over his mouth like a pitcher who thought he’d just coughed up a 3-run homer.

But Moreno is a weakling and the ball was caught on the track for the third out.

Yep, seems like Snakes and Kelly will get the win today

The difference between a 2-1 final and a 3-1 final was $24,500. The Mets did me the favor of bringing in Craig Kimbrel to pitch the bottom of the 8th. He began by doing Craig Kimbrel things, walking the first batter on a full count pitch and walking the second batter on 4 pitches. So did I get my hopes up that the D-Backs would make the Mets pay for those sins?

No. Instead I braced for the pain of watching the D-Backs strand those runners. 

And they did.
